[The video feed opens on the view of snow and a trail of large prints that should be familiar to anyone who has encountered them trailing through town or in conversation over the network. The trail looks like any other, with each print deeply imprinted in the snow. Until the camera follows the trail a bit further up, when the prints suddenly become scattered and strange, trailing off into different directions.
Finally, the camera is flipped around to show the face of a young man with dark hair poking out from under the black knit beanie on his head. He frowns, his expression signaling clear frustration.]
I've attempted to track the trail of...whatever is leaving these tracks. This is the third trail I've followed, but the first that displays such a clear attempt to confuse its trail. The others just stopped suddenly. Whatever it is, it's smart enough to know it's being followed and to cover its tracks.
As for the prints themselves, my best guess is they're from some abnormally large bear. An intelligent abnormally large bear. [He pauses a moment and shakes his head, realizing how crazy he sounds.] Just another day in Deerington.
Whatever this thing is, it doesn't want to be found for now. But I suggest everyone keep an eye out regardless. There's no telling when that could change. Oh, and one more thing...
[The camera moves again, away from his face and towards the surroundings trees. He focuses the camera on one tree in particular that has clear scratches marring the wood.]
I've come across a couple of trees scratched up like this, all of them near a set of tracks. But they're not consistent with claw marks. They look more like they were made with some kind of metal tool.

But, being careful definitely seems the correct response. Have you had any luck with the specters some have reported?

[She's been here long enough to see the pattern.]
We're near the end of the second week of the month. Shall we make a prediction? The bears and the creatures lurking in the blizzard will suddenly become much more active by next Monday.
