Uh - hey. [ billy lifts his hand and swipes it sideways out of frame in an awkward sort of half wave, smiling slightly with his mouth closed. ] My name's Billy.

I guess a lot of us have received a bag from the, uh - from the deer? [ which is still kind of odd to him - he's still getting used to the delivery dogs, but. moving on. ] Or… from whoever Ramona is, but. There was a letter inside mine. My friend got the same letter, and so did someone else I know, so I’m assuming everyone got it. Same bag, same contents, same letter.

[ he pauses for a moment, like he's still not sure if he wants to put this out there, because it comes pretty close to fear-mongering, even though that's not the purpose of this. absently, he pushes his fingers through the floppy bit of his hair near the front, raking it away from his face. it falls right back into place. ]

I don't want to like - scare anybody or anything, and I might be totally wrong, but. The letter kind of makes it sound like we might be headed toward some kind of shortage of... resources? [ billy pauses again to lean slightly out of frame, very obviously reaching for something, and when he leans back in, he’s got an old-looking goblet-style cup in his hand. it should look familiar to anyone who’s opened their bag. billy gives it a little wiggle. ] I mean... a cup that purifies water, and— hold on.

[ he sets the grail down and leans out of frame again to grab something else, comes back with... something wrapped up in large leaves. whatever it is, he doesn’t unwrap it, but he holds it up, off to one side so everyone can see it. ]

And this. This is lembas. [ if he seems a tiny bit more alert and enthusiastic, well. there’s a reason for it, but it’s very nerdy and pretty irrelevant. this is supposed to be informational, not the time for him to geek out. he continues. ] In the letter it says that lembas will help those who find themselves with little to eat - and that’s right. I know it doesn’t seem like much, but—

[ and he pauses here for a moment, gesturing with the wrapped waybread, seemingly contemplating something very briefly before he continues on. he is most definitely about to quote something, because when else will he get this opportunity? ]

—one small bite is enough to fill the stomach of a grown man.

[ billy smiles a little to himself, then puts the bread down out of frame, taking a moment to regain some of the seriousness he lost in - quoting an elf prince. ]

... Anyway. It's safe. My friend and I tried it just to be sure, but - if you still don't trust it or you want to make sure yours is fine too - [ he pauses here, like he's unsure about this next part, if he even wants to offer this much for personal reasons, but - well. all he's ever wanted to do is help people, so, ] - I can... take a look at it for you. Just - don't throw it away.

[ billy offers one last smile and awkward, parting wave, similar to the one he opened up with, reaching toward the screen, presumably to end the video. ]
