Mmmn...is it on...?
[Maggie tiredly rubs her face, resting her head on the computer desk. She has only recently woken up from a long sleep induced by...something. She isn't exactly sure of what it is that caused it. All she does know is that she is still incredibly tired from it. Like she's slept for a year. Ugh!]
Ah, it's working. Lovely. Perfect. [She still doesn't sound too pleased when she says that though.]
Uh, okay, funny story? I've kind of been out of it for the longest. Can anyone tell me what I missed? And what we're doing back in town? Because I swear, I remember being on a semi-luxury cruise after our cool party got flooded.
[She sighs, her head drooping to the side a bit. She seems to notice her own appearance in the camera and how bad she looks. Maggie lets out a small gasp and quickly tries to begin fixing her hair.]
Also advice on how to fix horrible bedhead is extremely appreciated!

[That was a voice she was glad to hear. She might have been a little worried when she couldn't track her down after the boat, and with all of her own problems on that same boat. So, hearing her now, sullenly groussing about her hair? It was... refreshing.]
You missed an awful underwater city that I guarantee you would have hated in every way. Be careful of the natives. They're behaving oddly. Even for them.

Ew, underwater? Awful, just awful. And, yeah, I saw the townsfolk outside the window earlier. It's like garden hell out there. Just so you know, the flower crowns they are making are very sloppy and I could have done so much better.
[But she hates hard work and that would require the hardest of work.]
You are always welcome to brush my hair, Vira. I feel like you're the only one I can really trust with it. But how have you been? You didn't go through anything too horrible, did you?

[She snickered. Man, she'd missed this. Maggie could be shallow, but in a cute, almost endearing way. She certainly was glad she was safe right now.]
I am afraid that they might have dangerous intent, but you know how they can be... Never truly safe.
Hmmm... I've been recovering from some unpleasantness. I apologize that I couldn't be there for you on that ship. I had a problem of my own whenever I touched someone. It got a little... ugly.

Ohhhh, don't worry about that, Vira! I had a real cutie taking care of me. His name is Mob. Bowlcut, kind of nerdy, but wanted to protect me. Real sweet guy.
Though, do go deeper into how you touching someone caused some problems? People should be honored to be touched by a sophistocated woman such as yourself.

[She certainly approved of her sticking around him. He seemed quite harmless, and she'd help that shyness a little.]
Ah... that... I would read their mind, hear in my own what they really tought of me. Whether it was good or bad, it did not matter. I became paranoid and unable to trust them, fled every last one and defended myself. It took weeks to end, and even if I got it to fade a little for some people, if I touched them it started all over again.
I was a wreck after two weeks on that boat running from everyone I cared about, sleepwalking to the edge of the boat because of that blasted death effect... The boat was awful, though Rapture was worse.

It was, though it's over... and I've been getting more willing to have physical contact again, so there's that.
...hah. [She sighed.] It wasn't... I've dealt with worse, but you would have hated it. We were trapped in an underwater city filled with drug addicts and creepy chemicals that changed your body to give you new powers, but at the cost that you became addicted and began to turn into a monstrous, insane version of yourself.
There was no regular food, only old overstocked vending machines and what we found in the trash cans. I never thought I would eat a hot dog out of a trash can, and I have to admit that it disturbs me that it wasn't terrible?
Living conditions were rough, but ok. We were stuck being pretty paranoid about each other, though... so it's been good to get back, to see our powers return and to see people start to come back from the addiction and madness.
