[For all her debating around whether or not she wants to use her experience and skills as a therapist to assist, Theo had been reluctant to actually do anything. So the town -- or Sodder, or whoever -- decides to step in. On the same day the neat box of business cards arrives in Theo's Blessing Basket, Deerington sees fit to upload the image of one to the Network.]

Basically, I'm a talk therapist specializing in trauma and I charge what people can afford. More or less.

It's not really about skill level -- more about sorting through things using art. It can be really helpful for some people, but it's totally optional.

Never saw much point in talk therapy myself. Then again, the only therapists I ever saw were rich pompous old men who simply did not understand the challenges of being a teenage girl. You know, I might have been more attentive if I had had to sit and talk to someone as pretty as you, though. So I am sure you are gonna busy bee.
Re: video; un: calamity
[But that makes her laugh, in spite of her mild embarrassment at Deerington advertising her services.] You and me both. If my therapist as a kid hadn't been a creaky old guy, I might've actually listened.
The problem's gonna be people getting over their own pride, I think.

Probably a prime candidate for therapy.]
... What does a counselor do?
permavideo;
Yeah, art therapy. Drawing pictures to help sort out things you're thinking or feeling.
That's really all a counselor does, help people figure out what might be making them upset or scared or stressed.

What does CBT and TF-CBT stand for?
[ he's making an active effort to even go so far as to disguise his typing style, because he a, doesn't want eddie to find out what he's doing right now in case he gets angry about it and b, doesn't want anyone else to connect this message with him or eddie and risk anything private or personal being open to wild assumptions. ]

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Essentially it's talk therapy -- my talking with a client -- with the focus of working through past trauma's and learning to adapt and process. These can be anything from familial abuse to addiction to past traumatic events. My degree is in working with children and young adults, but since there's not a lot of mental health support here, I'm opening it up to all ages.
