[well, he's had a few days to settle in now. and needless to say, he really misses home. but given just how well his last attempt to head back went, he's not in any kind of a rush to try that again any time soon. being nudged awake by the muzzle of a deer, the taste of blood still fresh in his mouth--

yeah, he's done for now. so instead, peter sits at a picnic table at the edge of the national park, a paper bag full of sandwiches sitting opposite him. there's a quick, blurred shot of him as he starts the feed, before it steadies out as he props the fluid against the bag.

right. here goes.]

Hey. My name's Peter, and if anybody's got a few minutes, I've got some questions.

[his attention moves over the top of the screen for a moment, his smile growing wide as he spots a familiar face in the distance. a little shaking of the feed as he digs into the bag, and he pulls out an apple. which he then holds out in offering. but before it's taken from him, the light of the screen draws his attention back and he soon remembers just what he was up to.]

Sorry. Um, yeah. So, there was this really sick looking dog that turned up in my apartment this morning. I tried to go help it, but it disappeared when I went to get it some water, and it left a package with a bottle and a syringe behind? Does anyone know what that's about?

Also, when I got here, I had a letter from someone called Sodder in my basket. Does anybody know who that is? I tried to ask some of the people here, but they really don't seem to want to talk to me.

[also, the whole pastel thing? kind of creepy.]

Oh yeah, and while I'm doing this. Is there anybody here from New York? [or, more specifically--] One where the Avengers exist?

[because neither his cell phone or karen are able to reach home. so maybe he can find someone else from home that he can work with to try and find a way back.

anything else he wants to add is forgotten again, and all peter does is add a quiet-] Thanks! [-before antlers move into the top of the feed and he reaches forward to end it. his deer savior is here, and peter has a shiny apple waiting for it.]
