Deep In Thought

Prince Edward Island was awesome. We went to the beach, played with a raccoon named Sebastian, and saw a documentary called Chez Schwartz and met the producer. Annika is back from Sweden. Saw the movie Stardust, which was really cute. I applied at Victorias Secret, American Eagle and Gap for fall jobs. I've spent most days reading at Starbucks. I'm enjoying Owen Meany and a little worried about being behind for spanish.
This next week is the Format concert, spanish at Castros house, and i leave for Florida. Then it's back to Bromfield and i turn 18.

Been going to the gym with Carissa everyday, bought a membership at Devens. Gone to Hampton beach about 5 times and going again tomorrow. I have a pretty sweet tan.
Started summer reading. Went to Bromfield to work out my schedule. I'm now taking modern euro instead of journalism, good and bad. Taking a road trip up to Prince Edward Island with Annabelle from Saturday until Wednesday. Then going down to Florida for the last week of summer. Summer is beginning to come to an end. I'm almost 18!

I haven't done anything, but it's been nice. I've watched hours of Americas Next Top Model. I really want to be a model, i think it would be a fun job. Not to say it's not incredibly difficult because it is a hard business these days. On Saturday i went mini golfing with Carissa and bought some really cute new shoes. Then we went back to her house with Fred and Jaime and watched The 40 Year Old Virgin, which i have to say wasn't as bad as i thought it would be.
Other than that i've been playing guitar a lot. I bought a capo so i can start doing some singing as well. And working out as usual. On Wednesday i'm going up to Carissa's house in NH for a few days and i get to drive her convertible up there, which is cool because i've always wanted to drive a convertible around haha. It will be fun to do some sun bathing, shopping, watching movies and just hanging out. My dad is out in California for the week again. It's Lauren's birthday on Thursday so i'm baking a cake tomorrow and a bunch of family friends and whoever are coming for a party on Saturday.

I haven't been keeping up with the journal entries much the past few months, but i figure no one reads this. So it's kind of just for my personal account.

Cookout at Carols and Devens fireworks were fun. Spent time laying in the sun and ate Ben & Jerrys pints while watching the fireworks. I've decided that i want fireworks at my wedding. Harvard fireworks seemed better than usual, although there were very few familiar faces. Went to the gym with Carissa to work out, filled out a few job applications in Leominster, and then watched a few too many hours of tv with Carissa and Fred and played Guess Who. Today we went back to the gym in the morning. Carissa's gone for the week. I went back up to Solomon to continue job searching. I think i've applied at about 15 places and asked up to twice that. All the good clothing stores only hire 18 plus. I only have 2 more months until i'm 18, but now is when i have the time and could use the money. I've pretty much given up for the moment. Been playing the guitar a lot and working on a few songs. Tonight i went to Kimballs with my sisters and watched Marie Antoinette, which i thought was beautiful and i liked the modern aspect of it, especially added in the music.
My expectations for this summer have seemed to lower quite a bit. I really don't know what to do with myself at the moment.

Slept over at Annika's on Sunday with Carissa and watched The Notebook. On Monday we took the train into Boston and went shopping. I bought a skirt at Urban Outfitters for $5 and a shirt at Hollister. Then we stopped by the pond for Victoria/Rosie/Elena's party and drove around in the convertible for a little bit. Slept over at Carissa's again after that. Went to a job interview at Hollister on Tuesday. I'm still looking elsewhere, even if i work there i'll only have a few shifts. I wish Forever21 opened earlier. Yesterday Carissa and I went to the airport with Annika to get dinner and say goodbye. Then Carissa and I went to see Waitress, which was hilarious and really cute.
I can't believe that it hasn't even been two weeks since school ended. Up until now has basically been all i'm doing this summer and Annika is now off to Sweden. I'm pretty much bored out of my mind. Who knows, maybe i'll find more to do with my time.
We might fly out to Florida in a few weeks for a short visit when my grandfather gets out of the hospital. Tomorrow we're going to Carol's for a cookout and Devens fireworks. Tonight i'll probably camp out in my room with the AC on watching movies.

It's been a pretty awesome week. Last weekend i went to the gym with Annika and Carissa and then went out to lunch at Fridays. Annika and I baked and decorated a Dora the Explorer cake for Carissa's birthday. Monday we met early at the gym, had the last final and then we drove up to Hampton Beach. Not many people came, but it was really fun anyways. We had a little car chase on the ride home with Darren, Jesse, and Will on the highway and Carissa flashed a few trucks and then we all stopped at Wendys. Slept over at Carissas with Annika and we watched John Tucker Must Die and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
Wednesday morning i left for the white mountains to go on a backpacking trip up Mt. Washington. It was amazing, but the most physically intense thing i've ever done. First day we hiked up to the Mizpah hut, second day was along the ridge from Mizpah to Lakes of the Clouds, and the next day we hiked back down. When we got to Lakes the second day we dropped off our things and hiked up to the summit of Washington. The huts were nice, way too much food, hours of playing president, taboo, crazy pete stories ("this one time i ate an entire coloring book...cover to cover"), and cute Thad from the Lakes croo. I also found an entry in a guest log book at Lakes written by my parents and their friends back in 1979.
Went to see 1408 with Annika yesterday. Creepiest movie i've ever seen, but really good. Met up with Carissa and her mom in Bertuccis. Piano performance today. Sleepover at Annika's later and shopping in Boston tomorrow. Job interview at Hollister on Tuesday.

I went to the movies last weekend to see Knocked Up with Will, Carissa and Fred. It was really funny and i thought it was cute, so we all liked it. I asked Westward orchards about a job, i need to go back in the next few days to check on that. Went bathing suit shopping with Annika, but didn't find anything. Finals started this week. Some good, some bad. After my Spanish final on wednesday, Carissa and I studied and ate lunch at Borders and then went to Starbucks to meet Annika. Thursday i went to Kimballs and watched Fantastic Four with my sisters. After finals today i went bathing suit shopping again with Annika and found the cutest polka dot one at Target. Junior class trip to Hampton beach on monday, i'm excited. I dented the back of the van. Piano recital on Sunday?

I've had an interesting week. Danced in the rain with Vicky during art on Monday. Using the fishbowl has been cool, it will be good for our grade. The english project is finally over. I put the lyrics together with Annika and made a pretty binding. Murphy was an ass to me during expos, but i think he got the hint that i really don't care about that class and think he's a bad teacher. Georgia and I have practiced together almost every day, performance saturday.
I hate that everyone talks to everyone else about everything. But i've realized how many close friends i have at the moment, that's all i need right now. You really can't let other people get to you.
Bought a new dress from TJ Max with Annika today. =D
I feel liberated.

I've been keeping busy this week. Last weekend I met Fred and Carissa at the mall to go shopping and i bought a new shirt from Hollister. We also went into Boston to shop and went to Fire and Ice for dinner. It was a three day weekend so i drove Annika and Carissa to Solomon to see Pirates 3. It was random and confusing, but still good. Annika and I cried at the end. Piano on Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday i drove up to the mall with Annika and Carissa to shop for a dress for graduation. Graduation was really nice even though it was raining at the beginning, and my speech went well. After, Annika and I went to see Pirates 3 again right from there. My dad has been gone all this week and comes back Monday morning. This weekend is piano, school projects, and taking a bit of a break.

It's been a long and tiring week. Will came over and hung out. On Wednesday i went to Kimballs with Carissa and Annika and then went back to Annika's house to watch Borat. It wasn't as funny as i thought it would be, but i think it was because i already knew everything that was going to happen. But the deleted scene in the grocery store was great. On the way to Annika's house, Carissa and I stopped and bought Annika a giant Disney princess castle balloon. I also bought her a card that sings Once Upon A Dream when you open it. Today i went to Kimballs with my sisters and then shopping around. I applied for a job at Ralph Jordan's and talked to the manager, so it looks hopeful. I also visited Carissa at work. SAT scored came out, which for me weren't as good as i hoped, but i was as unprepared as i could have been and i'm retaking them and doing ACTs and everything in the fall. Maybe getting together with friends a few times this weekend and then my dad and Carol leave for Las Vegas on Sunday. My grandfather has been doing a lot better. Maybe we'll visit them when they bring him home? I really like The Things They Carried. I also finally finished my etching in art of Chicago, which came out really cool, although the prints aren't so perfect.
