Babies due in December 2006

 My nineteen month old is refusing naps. we've been up since before 8am and its past 230pm now and shes no where near a nap. yesterday it was nearly 5pm before she would lay down. she used to be  like clockwork; shed nurse around noon and be down by 1 till about 330. it was perfect. nothing has changed in routine or her life. do they normally stop naps this young. its driving me nuts.

also, She does this chipmunk thing. anytime she eats, snacks or meals or any sort of food doesnt matter, she eats and eats till her cheeks are full and everything is fully chewed and then she gets a face and spits it all out. normal foods, foods she loves. again, no change in diet or anything.

help:)

 Leila and i have been to the clinic 3 times in the last 2 weeks. shes had an ear infection, an upper respitory, a cold, and an unknown rash. shes been on ammoxxicillian and an antibiotiotic for the cold. She has a cough and sneezes and sniffles. 

next week im supposed to check in for a week long seizure study in the hospital. Its a 24/7, hooked up to wires, tv monitored study.  She cant stay with me. Im a single mom and leila will only be able to visit me for short periods of times during the week. 

Shes supposed to go stay with my cousin who has a two or 3 yr old and a 4yr old.  and then a family from my church. 

Should i cancel or postpone the study? its a cough and just a cold but i dont want to bother my cousin and her young family . i dont want to be one of those moms. this is the first times ive ever been away from here. ever. ive only been away for maybe 4 hrs at a time. and noiw it may be 7days :/ i dont know how ill deal. we cosleep and breastfeed. and she has her kids on strict 7pm-7am sort of schedules too. i really dont know how this all will work.

I was reading the bulletins on my MySpace and I came across this one and I had to share with all the mamas and of course dadas here. This little boy is so close in age to all our little ones. I cant believe someone would do this to anyone and I had to share with everyone. Take time and watch it and add this little one and his family to your prayers.

Eating boobies (lol the little boy i babysit thinks that babies eat boobs now), pooping, peeing, smiling, cooing, pulling himself forward.
He sleeps pretty well. Sometimes it's 4 hour stretches sometimes it's 9. *shrug* It depends on who puts him to bed. He sleeps WONDERFUL for his dad (9 hour stretches)

4. Any recent or up and upcoming appointments?
4 Month Checkup is in late April

5. Questions, comments, observations?
No. I don't think so. He's been drooling A LOT lately and has a thing for his fist. He makes a fist and sucks on the knuckles. It's cute, but I think it might be a future bad habit.

Anyone else have an excessive spitter upper? He hasn't always been like this. I'd say it started about a month ago. He went from spitting up 2-3 times a week to 2-3 times a day. At his 3 month well baby visit last week I talked to his doctor about it, thinking maybe it's reflux, but the doc said he wasn't sure. He prescribed Zantac to try, which I've only given my son once. He didn't like it at all! It smells strong so I can't imagine how it feels going down. It doesn't seem like all the spitting up bothers him and he still has good diaper output, but the quantity and frequency kinda bothers me.

i finally had all the stuff for kai's easter basket. the final gift arrived yesterday in the mail. i finished putting it together today. what's inside? one of his eanie meanie monsters, disney's monster inc. dvd, a dr. seus book, a pair of baby legs and eggs filled with bunny m&ms! of course. that will be for me to eat later ;)

 

okay my daughter was born on the 26th of Dec and since then I lost all but 5lbs of my prego weight and my stomach was getting to the semi flat stage now over the past two weeks I started looking like I'm pregnant again. Has anyone else had this happen? Oh and my tummy is firm to the touch again and I havn't gained any weight the last time I checked.

What is baby up to these days (sleeping, eating, etc.)?

Let’s see, he is still drinking about 6oz every 2.5 to 3hours. He drinks 2oz and then burps (which he hates)

Sleeping wise, he goes to bed around 11pm, wakes back up every 2 hours. I am hoping that will change soon, since he will be 3 months. I was told they sleep longer once they hit 3 months, so will see.

He had a bath again tonight and he did not cry, yeah!

Any recent or upcoming appointments?

He had his apt. with the Gastroesophageal reflux on March 1st and that went well. They up his medicine and changed the kind. We may have to change his formula though. We will no by the 15th if we have to.

Milestones?

Let’s see, he can hold his head up very well. He talk’s up a storm and smiles big all the time. He loves toys and is liking his jumperoo too. (I hold him in it and help) He is growing so much everyday and advancing. I want to see him do so much but I don’t want him to grow. He wakes up every morning with big smiles for both mommy and daddy.

What age can they have baby food? I know he is to young right now.

2. Birth date, how old is baby now?
November 22nd (he was due on December 15th so I feel I'm still allowed to post in here, lol). He's 3 months and 3 days old.

3. What is Baby up to these days (sleeping, eating, etc,)?
He is starting to smile and talk all the time. And he's been sleeping in his crib for about two weeks now, most of the time through the night but some nights he gets fussy and Mommy has to go sleep in his room. He is eating 6.6oz now (formula, breastmilk didn't come in the way I had hoped, got really depressed, dried up) and he seems to be hungry every 3 to 4 hours. Poops regularly, which makes me excited because he used to hardly ever poop and how he's a little poo machine.

4. Any recent or up and upcoming appointments?
He had to go to the doctor on the 18th because he's been very congested, so right now he's on breathing treatments using a nebulizer. Poor little man looks so sickly when he has the mask on. :( But he usually likes getting the mist blown at him, he smiles and coos and tries to lick it. He has to go back for his 4 month well-baby around March 20th, and then its down to New Orleans to meet the rest of Mommy and Daddy's family. (He's only ever met his paternal grandparents, two aunts and a great-grandmother on dad's side.)

5. Questions, comments, observations?
I think he is starting to teeth because his two front teeth on the bottom are poking against his gums so much that you can feel them if you run your finger along his gums. He's a champion drooler too but that comes with the tooth territory. He's pretty happy to sit upright and look out, and he absolutely loves his new carrier. He can cuddle up with Mommy or Daddy and we can still move and use our hands. It's a win-win. :) I just noticed he has a bald spot where his head rests on my arm while I feed him. I felt bad for him so I tried to list cool people who are bald. All I could think of was Hulk Hogan and Dylan's PawPaw.
