Now don't be sorry, what's done now is done

I thought I was busy before... this week has been INSANE.

I'm in the process of learning how to make my own canned goods and hosting a canning party I won from a website. I spent all weekend and all yesterday just trying to find the materials for the cans. Today I spent organizing my kitchen... and tomorrow I am pursuing my local farmer's market to see if I can't get a hold of some pickling cucumbers and fresh dill.

This has been a nightmare, but if I get some great pickles out of it... everything was worth it.

Saturday is when I'm hosting the party and we will be making fresh strawberry jam... yum.

Hubby and I are both allergic to her hay and unfortunately we didn't understand the realistic demands of a baby.

She is fixed, well behaved, litter trained and has never bitten anyone. So, if you know anyone around Maryland who would be interested, please send them my way...

I'm still alive and baby is doing well. I'm very sleep deprived and have a significant lack of time.
I have been keeping up with reading people's journals, just haven't had the energy or mental capacity to comment or update anything... sorry :)

I haven't been updating anything except FaceBook... I've been busy or just too freaking pregnant to do much of anything.

Christmas was tremendously busy... my sister, her husband, and her two sons came up to visit. I found out that hubby and I will have to change a lot of things around for baby since we're kind of ... particular. Good wake up call though! :)

Last night was pretty cool. Met some new people, their children, watched poor Dick Clark mess up the countdown. Then tried to go to bed... hubby succeeded, but baby kept me up with that wonderful heartburn.

So, it now appears that hubby and I will be starting the new year with a surprisingly (and alarming) packed social life. Not sure how this happened since we're usually hermits, but we have plans everyday for the next week with people. I'm guessing after this week we may not leave the house for a few months!

Also, I believe I neglected to announce it here since I've been away from LJ for so long... we're having a boy!

I think that about sums it up, especially since I have to get ready for a lunch date with the best supervisor I ever worked for!

I've been sick for about a week now. Spent 12 hours in the ER yesterday and 10 minutes after I left... I lost most of my voice.

Woke up this morning and it was completely gone.

Having to use messengers, text, and pen and paper to communicate with my husband... it's quite interesting.

The cats are quite un-nerved that I'm not speaking to them though, it's quite hilarious.

Why is it so hard to find a place that takes donations of old eyeglasses? It took me all day, driving across a few towns/cities/areas? to find a place. Meh.

My apartment is starting to fill with the smell of baked apples... yum yum! I love autumn!

I know I've been fairly quiet/absent lately. I've just been really busy... I thought I knew what busy was, but I had no clue!

Anyway, the baby is fine, I am fine, hubby is fine, kitties are fine, and bunny is also fine.

Just trying to get a million things done before baby comes... our apartment still isn't even unpacked and the bunny is living in the baby's room, heh. Hopefully things will work out soon :)
