Wheeeee!

Watched Sherlock 2 last night with sis. Loved it!
It was already midnight when we finished with Hound of Baskervills so I decided to stop. Besides, watching the last ep demands more attention and a strength of will for the inevitable long wait for the Return of Sherlock Holmes -_-:::
It's okay.... I still have Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy to watch. Colin Firth! Cumberbatch! Oldman!

So yeah, it's cheaper to order from amazon.uk instead of the amazon.com but one needs to be prepared for the long wait (3x longer the wait compared to the US counterpart). The customs thankfully also waived the tax fee that day when I came to pick the dvds up :)
Good day, good day...
Almost made up for the bad trades in RL. Almost.

OMGosh!

Totally forgot to mention - my order for dvd Misfits did get through!
I picked it up at the MPC less than two weeks ago and as of the day before yesterday managed to finish off both series. It was raunchy, hilarious and ridiculous. Like a proper British-dark-humour series should be :)
Next Rocknrolla, and after that Dexter s1.
Totally broke this month buying dvds & eating out a lot :/

Also need to check my visa statement to make sure the transaction for the dvd I bought on amazon is correct. If their accounts dept did put back my money into my account when they thought I wasn't able to get the dvd, I'd have to mention to amazon about their mistake, coz I'd feel guilty otherwise.

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang

Ah, an unexpected surprise in my dvd purchase! ^^ I bought it with "Grid Iron Gang" and thought that it won't hurt to buy something relatively unknown to me compared to GIG, because Robert Downey Jr And Val Kilmer was in it. Those two actors don't usually act in movies that I like to watch though when they do they really stand out.
Anyway "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang: was fully of irony and sarcasm and its clever, witty, dark and playful. It pokes fun at those noir films though I wonder why they didn't point out those scenes that make you go, "Gee... that was reeeally lucky..." like that WHOLE scene with the casket over the bridge thing.

The chemistry was wonderful between RD Jr (as petty crook-turned actor, Harry) and VK (as gay PI, Perry). And their lines with each other are so so precious and there are so many of them ^^

Yesterday was an ok day. Very, very hot. I met Edo for that afternoon drink and his two friends tagged along. They look familiar but I can't place where.

After the drink, I stopped by mum's restaurant and hung out for a bit before my sis and I left to do some shopping. We went to HH Tjg Bunut and then to Tajul and that cd shop nearby.

Then home, surprisingly at about 9pm. I didn't realise we were out so long.
At home, we made ourselves some dinner (chix balls for her and for me just chilli eggs with rice) before we settled down in my room to watch the cd. We watched The Devil wears Prada first (Hathaway was gorgeous) before watching KKBB.

It was prolly about 3am when we finally decided to call it a night - day, whatever.

Temburong tomorrow for CNY open house at LL's house! Fooooood.

OMG baby trouble

Just finished raining again.

Azi, my baby niece came over this morning while I was reading fics. Her parents asked me to babysit her while they went out for a wedding reception since my parents were out, too, to another wedding reception. So, it was just up to me and my two sibs in the house with the baby. She was quiet at first, drinking her milk, but then she got troublesome, crying and generally making a big fuss. I tried the walker, watermelon, music and more milk but to no avail. It couldn't be her diaper coz her dad changed her earlier on, so I yelled at my sis to quickly take a shower and assist me to bring the baby out and in the meantime the maids wanted to hold the baby but she only got louder (or in the case of one of the maids, I wouldn't let the baby go coz maaaaan the woman has bad BO).

After my sis finished getting ready and myself quickly taking off my teddy and slipping in a pair of jeans and an unironed top (I didn't even have time for a shower, and the baby was bawling at my feet while I changed), we drove out and went to HH Tjg Bunut. Azi was crying throughout the whole ride but quietened down when we reached the basement parking and when we stepped out of the car, it was only then that I realised that I have forgotten to put on the baby her shoes. So we went to the baby's section and I bought her some socks (I couldn't find shoes/slippers that can fit her).

She was her usual cheery self by the time my sis paid for the purchase, the baby was giggling and shrieking happily at anything and anyone especially at the kids around her.
And I realised that toys doesn't attract her but the TAGS on the toys. So when my bro said that the baby was only attracted to paper he wasn't kidding *.*

So after we put the new socks on Azi (3 pairs costing me $10+. Geh, even my socks doesn't cost that much. Baby stuffs sure are expensive) we went around for a bit at the same floor but then got bored so we went to the grocery section at the ground floor. The whole time I had Azi in my arms, everyone was staring at the baby and at me, prolly wondering if I was the mother or a sister. The saleslady who helped me pick the socks thought I was the mum and that my youngest sis was my older sis (Eh... how did that happen? Just because I have a baby in my arms.. Do I already have child-bearing hips? *lol*)

Thankfully, at the grocery section, Azi was amiable to be seated in the baby-seat of the trolly, leaving my arms finally free from carrying her (she's soooo heavy! Even now my arms hurt). My sis and I bought some stuff, junk food & toilettries etc before we went back home, hoping that mum or my younger bro is already back from her/his invite.

My parents were back and unexpectedly my older bro & sis-in-law were also there. My sis-in-law got pizza and I finally had something to eat while mum took care of the baby. Then I went to take a shower and as I was getting ready to do the noon prayer, my younger bro came back and they gave the baby her lunch.

Now I am able to relax *sigh* The baby's cute when she's being bubbly and playful but so troublesome when she's fussy. She's so spoilt -_- No surprise there. Everytime she cries, I'm gonna end up taking her out so she'd stop coz, man, she can cry long and LOUD for more than 10 minutes X(
Brat. But a cute brat.

CD review - "The Covenant" - Pretty, pretty boys.. Mmmmm...
Good dialogue, good acting (sis said the guys are models. Is that true?) but the voice editing sucks.
And the romance between the main chara and the girl (she's unexpectedly cute, which is nice coz it's rare that I find the heroines to be cute) is ok but that kissing scene in the car in the rain deserves a barf bag. Bleh. Too cute that it made me feel sick.

But still, the boys... Mmmmmm... *drooling at the boys in every swimming pool and locker scene*

Oh ya, the Brunei Marathon was today. I wonder how it went...
