So maybe you’re wondering what happened to De Capulet.

I would be, too, were I you.

Well, after two years full of short string tours, long distance decision making, and trying to make things work, the decision was made to finally bow out gracefully.

Is it sad? Yeah, it is. I loved writing for and playing with De Capulet, and I'll always hold every memory we made with any of you high above anything else I had ever done up until that point. De Capulet was an amazing experience, that can not be denied. I had the incredible privilege, for the first time in my life, to start writing songs that people genuinely cared about; that I genuinely cared about.

I guess this is the point in the blog where I segue into the future, and what's to come. For those of you who, like me, are saddened by the curtain's close on the stage of De Capulet, I offer a simple line of encouragement. Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end.

I just want to keep music alive, guys. I can't let these songs die. I can't let this project die. I will continue with The Record Life from now on in hopes that you all can keep listening. Some incredible things are happening right now, everybody. I can't wait for what's in store. I hope you eventually feel the same way.

Thank you for listening. Have an incredible day, and please - Be Here Now.

Love,
Jakob
