Welcome to Boot Camp

Listen up you Wrimos! It is time to get serious! I've got seven days to whip those fingers and creative minds into shape!

Every day for the next week, I will provide you with a prompt and a time limit. I'm trusting you use the honor system, but I hope that the prompts will help you get into the spirit and the mind frame for NaNoWriMo.

RULES:

Part of the challenge is to write as much as possible during the allotted time.

Each prompt will be under a cut, so you must enter the thread in order to read the prompt. Time starts when you read the prompt.

You must post your response in a comment and submit it WITHOUT spell checking. (Sorry guys!)

Winners will be announced before the next prompt.

Normally, prompts will be up for 24 hours, but tonight's prompt will only be up for 12 before winners are announced.

So are you ready to NaNo?!

How's everyone doing?

October is half over...it means November is almost there!!! SQUEEE!

Honestly, I've been far too excite for words these days. Well, I'm trying to organize my calendar of write-ins and meet ups, which got me thinking...

Where is the best place for you to write?

What about the time of the day?

MUST READ!

The first NaNo novel I finished spent the last two years in editing and passing hands to close friends until earlier this year, I decided to take plans to publish it. So, as part of the 'getting ready to publish my book' research, I came across a literary agent's blog and he is wonderful. I would recommend anyone to read him.

He has a guest writer today who wrote the most prefect NaNo piece ever! It's call Nine Stages of Dating a Novel. Go! Read! Enjoy!

Who's your....

Every year my office throws a themed Halloween party. This year we are celebrating the villains out there, which got me thinking...

Who is the villain/antagonist in your story?

How do they become the villain in your story?

I have two in my book; one who is a murderer and the other is out for revenge...MWHAHAHA

NaNo!

It is October, which means NaNo is right around the corner!

I can't believe it is coming so quickly! In case you haven't seen it, wrimobuddies is featured this week. My intro is here. Is anyone else a part of the comm?

Since there are 26 days left until November. Tell me what do you do to get ready? Do you plot? Outline? Hide in a corner until someone drags you out kicking and screaming?

Tell me!

Holy Mother of Merlin!

There are only 41 more days til NaNo 2010, can any of you believe that? I swear I just finished NaNo '09 yesterday!

How is everyone doing? Anyone already getting excited? What about ideas? Who plans on writing this year?

Sorry about the bombardment of questions, but I've been looking forward to NaNo all year. So, probably later this week, I will do an 2010 intro post and you can add to it or post your own. I want to hear what everyone has planned for this year.
