This Saturday's Midnight party rescheduled for 2/28

We were crossing our fingers about the weather on the 21st, but the forecasts currently look pretty bad--perhaps as much as five inches of snow all across the region, from Northern Virginia to Baltimore, followed by a "wintry mix" in many places and, late, a steady rain. Bleh. Talk about a mood killer...

As snow, ice, booze, bad roads, and late night partying mix badly, and because we value the health of our staff, volunteers, and guests, Midnight is reluctantly cancelling the party we'd announced for this Saturday. The good news is that we expect to be open on Saturday, February 28, instead.

The date switch will require some changes to this month's original lineup. We'll give you a full rundown in a mailing early next week. We hope you'll join us that night at The Meeting Place.

Stay safe this weekend. If you do go into Washington (we hear there may be an '80s event up near 14th and U NW, for example), don't forget to monitor the news. D.C. has a nasty tendency to impose "snow emergency" regulations with little warning, turning much of the city's downtown street parking into a very expensive ticket and tow zone!
