Osiris, the Egyptian god of fertility, agriculture, the afterlife, and others in ancient Egyptian culture.

Gods and goddesses are beings of higher power considered divine or sacred, often controlling one or more spheres of power (i.e war, love, wine, dreams, death, etc. ). Varying each in origin, most of the Gods– often referred to as the "Old Gods[1][2][3][4][5][6][7] of Earth," or simply as the "Gods of Earth," to distinguish them from the primordial Old Gods of Urgrund– emerged when the Godwave spread throughout the known universe while one account claims the Gods stole their powers from the Lords of Order and Chaos. However, some gods were created as magical beings by the magic of the Godsphere.

Gods typically posses some or many attributes considered to be greater than the average human being, such as immortality, and typically (though not always) belong to a particular pantheon, a particular set of all gods of any individual polytheistic religion, mythology, or tradition. It's also important to note that depending on pantheon and god in question, the worshipping level is notably important for the gods. The greater the number of worshipers of a god, the greater their power will be.[8][9]

While gods and goddesses can embody an aspect of the universe, they're considered to be different from other beings such as the Endless, being that the aforementioned group are anthropomorphic concepts.
