Well, if I have to start with a bit of a proud moment this year, it might as well be a musical one.

Today we had a day with one of my orchestras, where everyone was invited to play a bit of music: alone, in a duet or small group. I did a piece with a trombone quartet called "A Song for Japan".

It's a piece that was written in remembrance of the tsunami disaster that happened there a few years ago.

It went rather well, so that's something to be proud of. Although, I know I can and perhaps should play it even better, but all in all I think we gave a good performance.

But something that also made me a bit proud, maybe even more so, was something I did last week. Also has to do with music, but more with talking about it. It was with the same orchestra, but during the annual meeting thingie we have with it. You know, where they report on how things went in the previous year and what the ideas are for the coming year.

At the end of the meeting there's a chance for people to ask questions. So I took the opportunity to state what the current level of music is I get to play and said I need something better. Or well, that's roughly the summary I can type here. But I am proud of it, because it's something that's been bugging me for years. And now everyone knows my opinion about it......and hopefully that's a first step into getting some more interesting music.

....who knows..... :-)

Meh, long time since I posted a message here. Last thingie I posted was about that youtube orchestra thingie. That didn't exactly go as planned. Had, in short, something to do with also having to do some other "important" music thingie with one of my (regular) orchestras. Which in the end meant less time to make the required recordings for the youtube thingie. So I was forced to not submit anything at the last moment, but more or less swore to cancel any musical activities if a similar orchestra project would present itself in the future. In short, doing what *I* want to do, instead of once again doing what others want from me.

In other news, people at work kept nagging me to get a facebook account thingie to the extend that I finally gave in last night or so. So if anyone's interested in that, send me an e-mail or shout very loudly or whatever. You know where to find me. :-)

Oh and I recently won a certain gadget which I can't really tell much about yet. First have to make sure it gets delivered to my home properly.

That's it for now, everyone. ;-)

It's here, it's here!

Ordered some 5.1 home cinema set thingie during the weekend, and they delivered my package just a couple of minutes ago. Wheeeeeeeeeee!

Now I can finally play some decend DVD thingies on my TV. And it can play blu-ray discs, too. So that will be eh....maxi big fun! ;-)

Now if you'll excuse me, I have some unpacking to do. :-P
(and some discovering to do to see if I have everything I need, all the cables are long enough, etc.)

So yesterday we had an evacuation thingie at work. Apparantly some people got sick, and after the third one they somehow set off some alarm to get everyone out of the building.

At first they thought it might be some gass leak, but they couldn't find anything wrong. So after a while they let everyone back in.

In short, I'm fine and was never in any danger. :-)

Did something very scary just now.

I......actually bought some fruit. :-O :-O :-O :-O

And maybe I'll actually eat some of it...........neeeeeeeext year.
Good thing I can't accidentally make it a new year's resolution to start buying fruit next year. (Especially since I never make those resolution thingies. Pixels are as far as resolutions go for me) Plus it's too late to make it a habbit for this year. :-D :-D :-D :-D

Have a good 2010, everyone! :-)

I has new table!

Took me back quite a few euros, though. Especially with the six chairs I bought with it.
They delivered it earlier today. Yet another extra bit for my new home. Now I just need to get a nice couch thingie. And...and....and.... :-P

Also tested out my oven yesterday. I think it passed the first pizza test. ;-)

Aaaaaand applied for an internet connection thingie. It's a primary need thingie. *nods* ;-)

Ehm, I mean *Glee Glee*....er....or whatever. :-P

Saw an add at the back of a newspaper this morning for a one-day DVD offer thingie. At a store I'm not too fond of visiting (never visited before today, btw), but I suppose okay-ish enough if you know exactly what you want.

So, during my half hour break I got on my bike and went to the store thingie. Bought LotR extended edition 12 DVD pack.....for EUR 25,-. :-D :-D :-D :-D

Now I just need to finish my living room, get some decent viewing stuff, and lots of spare time.

My prrrrrrrrrrecioussssssssssssssssssss! :-P ;-)
