"Denke daran, dass nach den großen Zerstörungen
Jedermann beweisen wird, dass er unschuldig war."

(Think of this: that after the great destructions
every man will attest that he was innocent.)

+ Ran across this doing a little research on Wittgenstein while picking out birthday books from my amazon wishlist. Crap, I'm sure that was a bright, bubbly classroom full of rainbows, bunnies and clouds. I try to imagine what the teacher at the Realschule in Linz did to inspire *these* minds! Okay, back to picking out books, listening to New Hampshire results in the backdrop and pondering what the pundits will say. What a circus. UPDATE: MSNBC HillHater/misogynist Chris Matthew's body language of astonishment right now is hilarious. Why do I even watch this shit? It has a drug like effect on me; I need to seek a PA sponsor soon it seems.

+ My lil' sis and I try to get to the movies as much as we can coordinate it. And she always wants to step into that creepy yet cool photo-booth thing. Last night we went and saw Sweeney Todd. And it got a big, bloody, singing thumbs up. If I weren't exhausted I'd catch up on all the holiday loot, family fun and details on the big, exciting job promotion, but I'll save it for the next day off.  xo

Lessons For Monsters

+ I gave my niece Gracie a "Stinky Doodle Monster" for Christmas. Supposedly it's a toy that can be drawn on with these smelly markers. Since she's always tracing the tattoos on my arm, I thought she'd like this cute little guy. Well, right after she opened it, she stared at it for a long time, called it "Ba-bay", squeezed it, and then started examining all of his, uh, parts. Well, after discovering first the poking-out tongue, she then turned him over where his little yellow tail sticks out of his bum. She ran out of the room with him, and we chased after her because obviously something startled her into a rush-to-action. And that's where our little story takes off...

+ The rain fell for a week straight it seemed. I welcomed the grey skies and chill that required anoraks and hot tea w/ creme. I would do well in some, let's say, Scottish village mid-November, walking a dog in the park or reading a good book on a park bench beneath some hibernating fountain statues. November makes me miss Austria and the other mazes I spent most of my twenties getting lost in.  Arkansas, no doubt, has enough natural beauty left for me to get squint-eyed dazzled by, but I've been yearning to get away.  If life were only as easy as it was in my twenties. If only I were still so daring. Thankfully, I suppose, I'm not.

+ My phone is on the fritz b/c I dropped it in a big wet puddle Friday night. Well, Saturday it started buzzing/vibrating for over an hour straight and then suddenly the screen went fuzzy blue. Unfortunately I don't have insurance on the thing, but I guess I'll figure that out. I'm not much of a phone person anyways (not knowing where it is half the time), so I don't expect any great loss on some grande social scheme. When I get paid I guess I'll look for a replacement, until then I'm in the dark who you are who's calling or can't watch the spinning little dreidel I downloaded last week. Surely it's a sign.

+ Not much else going on. My cat is on top of the computer glaring at me to feed him. I've got laundry and dishes, dirty, to do.  And I'm sorting out flashbacks from a Halloween weekend that left me in the end wading a watery field for a mile to the closest gas station just to call a taxi to get home. I should behave for the rest of the year, if I know what's best for me. I guess the fool's moon from Friday played tricks on us all.

xo.

Ness-ness.

+ My tooth/no-tooth hurts. I will now have to go to the dentist, and that could be the beginning of the end. Ouchness.
+ Spent the day w/ my niece playing w/ the tee-ball and her showing me all of her little treats and tricks. Cuteness.
+ At tattoo dilemmas, seen so many images none of them make sense anymore. I am Flickr'd out, that's for sure. Frustratedness.
+ Decided for tomorrow's appointment: ant, yiddish/hebrew "heym", random stars, an acorn, a diamond, "dum vivimus..." & ?????.  ?????-ness.
+ Re-entry into the myspace world wasn't so bad. I know, I know. I swore it off, but it seems a good way to keep in touch. Feel-free-ness.
+ Finally broke down and ordered new shoes after all of mine seemed to blow out one by one. Eagerness.
+ Haven't done anything socially in over a month, so it seems I might make a slight foray w/ my little sister & co. tomorrow. Something simple-ness.

That's it. <3

+ Things I've enjoyed recently:  Suicide Girls European Video, Orson Welles' THE TRIAL, Stephen Batchelor's BUDDHISM WITHOUT BELIEFS, new tattoos of Snakes, Lions, Roses and Names, a nice simple haircut, buying my niece Little People Cavemen/Dinosaur & Doodle Monster toys, a new meditation pillow, Jewish poetry, the new Tocotronic album and Justin Rutledge, as usual.

+ Things I've not enjoyed recently:  my sneezing, slow-mo cat Sebastian (now better!), wine on my favorite pants, stupid people in stupid bars wanting stupid things like my phone number or penis-pro-hour, piles of clothes that can't be distinguished from clean and dirty, low stocks, the new Josh Ritter ablum, allergies that choke me into oblivion, losing my wallet for the fifth time this year and did I mention stupid people?
