AUTHOR'S NOTES: Originally posted on February 5, 2013 at AO3. Also incredibly unbeta'd, because wow, Dwalin and Ori sound flowery. Oops. Either way, this little fic was what got me back into writing, so even with all of its faults, it's nice to get back in the saddle.

One moment, Dwalin had been on his death bed, and then he was standing tall and strong in a dark antechamber.

Incredibly not beta'd, and it probably shows. Tense changes likely to be prevalent. I guess I'm just happy that I wrote something substantial and posted it.
