Aug. 1st, 2030 05:26 pmUPDATE as of hotd s3 era! i'll be watching eps as they air, so no worries about spoilers on my end, though i will do my best to mark for others.
just tossing down some bits and bobs while i voicetest—
aiming for the show's version of alys here. i've read fire & blood, though it's been a hot minute. but i definitely take the view that alys's book characterization is at the mercy of hostile unreliable narrators, and i'm not looking to set in stone even the book's less fantastically demonizing claims about her.
in general, i like the idea of her true origins and motives remaining at least partly ambiguous. i'm also not up-to-date on hotd cast interviews and such, so i probably won't incorporate too many specifics from what her actor, gayle rankin, has already revealed about alys's character. ofc this may change as s3 progresses.
(i do tend to assume that alys's apparent old age is not the melisandre, drop this necklace and you get the cryptkeeper variety.)
think i'll be keeping to memes of the casual one-off sort during voicetesting, but i'm totally open to crosscanon, other fantasy worlds, modern AUs, etc. and of course i'd love to try her with anyone from hotd, got, and the asoiaf-verse at large, even if the characters have no hope of interacting together in canon.
i am all about gen things andnot seeking shippiness at present not looking to assume shippiness, unless we're tagging on a ship meme and/or it's been oocly OKed beforehand. but ota where there's interest and chemistry!
regarding our favorite anime villain: i'll be absolutely stoked to tag with aemonds. but if it's going to be anything other than tfln-style funsies/timey wimey nebulosity, i'd probably like to chat first to get an idea of your thoughts and prefs for their interaction.
i am always open to ooc check-ins and chats, for any reason!
