Summary: Matt and Frank aren’t exactly roommates, but considering he is the guy's bodyguard they spend a lot of time together. Not because he is blind or anything, just due to the fact he is a hot celebrity highly sought after for his character. It turns out his fans love him for more than that though when Foggy stumbles into a madhouse of stories written about his friend. The fact it includes him too? Well, he isn’t quite sure what to make of that.
“Oh shit oh shit oh shit,” Matt chanted as he put down his last opponent with a spinning kick. Everything had been going so well, right up until one of the goons got in a lucky shot with a pipe he had previously twisted away and discarded. He had managed to take most of the strike on the helmet, but his cheekbone still flamed in the tell-tale way that predicted a truly colourful bruise.
It wouldn’t normally be a problem, what with Code Blue protocols and all, but he wasn’t supposed to be out tonight. He was supposed to be home, resting up for an early court appearance in the morning. But then he’d gotten antsy, and there’d been a scream, and now three crimes later he was fucked.
Matt called the police on his burner, waiting on a nearby roof just long enough to make sure the sirens were close before running fleetly away, his face smarting reprovingly.
Maybe it’s not that bad, he thought, and then, maybe it’ll go away with a few hours sleep.
