While on a bad blind date at a coffee shop, bookshop owner Aziraphale meets a gorgeous red-haired barista. Also Aziraphale knows flower language and he’s not afraid to use it. ~Rated E~

In any case, Crowley didn’t like being a barista. It was boring and annoying, because most people who wanted coffee seemed to be in great need of that coffee before they could be pleasant to other people. So Crowley wasn’t entirely pleasant back. (Anathema could hardly expect miracles from him.)

But today— an angel had come to the counter. He was stunning to look at: soft blond curls, an upturned nose, pretty blue eyes. So pretty. And it must have been his first time ordering in a coffee shop, because he didn’t have a whole “vanilla latte, soy milk, half-caf” bit ready. He just wanted tea, and he was kind of flustered about it.

Also he was staring at Crowley. Crowley didn’t often get stared at, especially behind the counter. People looked at the chalkboard, their wallets, and sometimes the dessert case, but hardly ever at Crowley. This man looked, and seemed to very much like what he was looking at.
