Well Danny is well into his NZ tour, performing in Hastings soon!
anyone who is going, he may or may not mention a fan girl who is "bizarre"
if he does, in my defence, everything was coincidental haha

anyone seen his latest gig in Australia or NZ yet?

Ooh, its quiet here.

Did anyone manage to catch Danny on his most recent tour here in Australia and New Zealand? I saw him on Rove but that was about it.


I read something recently which I thought was weird - that Danny has applied for (or got) Australian residency? Did anyone else read that?

I've just come back from seeing Danny live! All the waiting was finally over.

The crowd was surprisingly small, which was great from my point of view, because our table was only about 5 metres away from the stage. He took a little while to warm up, but was absolutely hilarious, of course. Because most of his material that I have seen in the past I thought was quite old, I thought he would have a lot of new stuff, but it turned out that I had seen the majority of it before. Still completely worth seeing live though.

He eventually got to the obligatory Australian jokes, which, personally, I think are actually quite flattering, and he asks "Is anyone in the audience from Australia?" Yay!!! James and Kacee pointed me out and I put up my hand. He asked my name and why I was in Sheffield and when I told him I was studying he asked what, and when I told him linguistics he obviously had no jokes lined up for it whatsoever, and merely said "That must be nice" haha. He asked where I was from, and I replied "Perth, the place where you didn't go last time you were in Australia" HA! My first heckle. He said "Oh we have a fan here tonight". And he continued on with the show, every now and then referring to me for agreement on some point about Australians and Australia. All of which were true.

My American friend thoroughly THOROUGHLY enjoyed the orchestra/bagpipes routine. He was quite literally in tears.

After the show I went and had a chat to him, and took this ( photos of us...Collapse )

And that was my sublimely happy night! I would gladly go and see him again.

Feeling the need to gloat again. Because I am seeing Danny perform on Monday! Yep, that's right, I got my tickets and I'm set to go.

I want the weekend to be over. Now.

No one has been on here for a while, so I just thought I'd say... I am so excited because Danny is performing in Sheffield on the 9th of October, and... I am just about to move to Sheffield!!! I am going to see him no matter what it takes :D
I'll keep you updated on how it all eventuates.

Hey there, is anyone from England here? I'm actually from Australia but missed going to Melbourne this year because I've been saving for an overseas trip. ANYWAY, I'm going to England so will hopefully get to see Danny in Blackburn on the 22nd of Sept and was just wondering if anyone is going to any of his shows in the UK?

this community really needs to be promoted somehow, to get it going...

anyhoo, i just wanted to say that last night i saw Danny Bhoy in Sydney! he was awesome, and absolutely hilarious! i didn't stop laughing the whole time! he does accents really well, and his facial expressions and body movements are priceless. i'm so glad i went- it made me appreciate his work even more. rock on, danny!
