The Crossover You've All Been Waiting For
Okay, that Sarah and I were waiting for, anyway.
Title: Brotal (Abroture Science) pick your preferred bro pun

Rating: B FOR BROTASTIC but seriously probably like... a K+ so tame for a crossover with a killer computer
Warnings: Massive Portal 1 spoilers (eventually)
Notes: For GLaDOS' speech: some of it is taken directly from the game script, especially the parts were she explains what they're doing, because I don't want to come up with ways to paraphrase all that. Most of the extra stuff, however, I will try to come up with myself; while what she says is usually hilarious, I don't want her dialogue to be like I just copy-pasted the game script. That's just not cool.
Also, I don't think she ever tells Chell to call her GLaDOS in the game, but I had her tell the boys that just so I wouldn't have to keep saying "the voice" or "the computer" in narration.
Summary: Jack and Hajime wake up in a strange place and are forced to participate in a series of rigorous tests - FOR SCIENCE! They've survived the collision of madness and science once before, surely they can do it again.

The bus ride was long, and silence had long since fallen between the two of them; not an awkward silence, a comfortable, lazy silence. Hajime watched the scenery outside, while Jack leaned back and listened to his MP3 player.
Hajime was quite content for this to continue, but then he felt a sudden weight on his shoulder. He looked over, startled, to find a mess of red hair nestled against him.
Frowning a little, he shrugged so that Jack would be pushed back into his seat. The boy genius blinked awake again, glancing over and grinning sheepishly. Hajime gave him an exasperated, but amused, look, before looking back out the window.
Barely two minutes had passed before Jack’s head was resting on his shoulder again.
Hajime was about to push him off again, but his friend looked pretty comfortable. After a moment’s hesitation, he decided to risk his shoulder going stiff to let him lay there.
It was only a few more minutes before he himself was yawning.
He had to admit, Jack’s warm, messy hair made a pretty good pillow.

Drabble things
More post-XI fic, this time with 200% more children!
So yeah, I had this idea for Hotaru not wanting to put on her flower girl dress for Hajime's wedding after a d_m conversation where Hajime was wondering if a pink lacy dress would make Hotaru most embarrassed. I had actually already headcanoned that she likes pink but doesn't like to show it, but of course the lacy part would set her off. She's actually only 6 here while Neil is 4; you can attribute her advanced attitude/vocabulary to SUPER INTELLIGENCE.
Also you might notice that they call Jack "dad" and Hinata "okaa-san"; I headcanoned it that Jack would talk to them, as babies, in English while Hinata talked to them in Japanese so they would know both. They often referred to themselves in the third person ("Daddy's going to change your diaper now!" "Okaa-san is going to get your bottle.") so they would learn what to call their parents and so they just call them those things now. It's plausible, right? |'D
