Hello, like 6 people who are subscribed to me. I might create a new blog sometime soon where I will actually post stuff... Including my creative stuff, *gasp*, since I am going to start working on a YouTube "show" (if you can even call it that) when I will come back from my vacation in Siberia. Have this image I took in taiga for now

I'm the main character in Harlan Ellison's cult short story "I Have to Spend 12 Hours in a Car, and I Must Not Scream"

idk i think you should make this character's heterosexuality relevant to the narrative. i mean why are they cis if it's not servicing the plot. you can't just throw story elements in for no reason if you're gonna make an able bodied character it should really serve a purpose. like why are they white are you just trying to fill a checklist? :/

if i made a video game where you get to pick the gender of the player character i'd make both the options be nonbinary and you can either have they/them or it/its pronouns. those are your only options

btw dating sucks as a concept.

meeting up with someone with the explicit goal of figuring out whether or not you want a relationship with them spoils the dynamic. it sucks. it's terrible. fall in love with your friends like normal people.

I think I came up with a term that nicely puts into a single word what "trolls" and people who spew bigotry online are, "fecalmouths". The words that they vomit out of their mouths are nothing but junk that was fed to them by their idols, digested, recycled and turned into something even lower than it was initially

I want everyone to just universally know more nonbinary attraction terms, I need it so bad dawg.

Trixic, toric, enbian, diamoric, I just want enben love to be recognized, PLEASE!!!

At this point, I just feel like it’s my duty to use these terms as much as I can in my own life, I just need to expose as many people as I can to these terms, more people need to know.

Because, let me tell you, I die inside every time people use exclusively yuri or yaoi to describe relationships with a nonbinary person in it, or when people imply that being specifically attracted to a nonbinary person makes you a chaser, like, oh god no

I love how despite all the differences, all humans have a shared wish: constantly slurp on some liquid bullshit

I hate pericis people so much.

Just say that we are men at this point. I don't want this wishy washy bullshit about socialisation and power dynamics. You, a cis person, have more power over me than I have over you, and you know this.

These people think that non binary people AMAB are just cis men that have different pronouns and it shows. They have no concept of medical transition. They have no concept of intersex people. They have bought into the belief that non binary people are just people that choose different pronouns and do nothing else.

This person is a cis gay man, and he thinks he can talk down to us about power dynamics? Give me a fucking break. I bet that he thinks the same way about non binary people AFAB, that they're quirky cis women who choose different pronouns. This shit pisses me off so much.

please wear sunscreen!!! I've seen "fuck the beauty industrial complex" posts about complicated skincare regimens and am 100% with them except sometimes they mention sunscreen and no. no. absolutely not. sunscreen is a wonderful supportive friend who wants to keep you safe, and you should let her do it. throw out all your other cosmetics and skincare products if you want, but keep your sunscreen. and if you're not wearing sunscreen, start wearing it!!!! this is not about terror of aging, this is not about every tiny imperfection our fucked-up culture has made you feel insecure about, this is about protecting yourself from skin cancer. wear the damn sunscreen.

Important as hell

not only are most people completely unaware of the devastation of indigenous languages in the americas, most people are completely unaware of the devastation of indigenous languages in europe. never mind occitan, they don't know about basque! it's wild! bleak! existentially horrifying!!!

the last few centuries of french history involved, amongst other things, a concerted effort to establish "french" as a legitimate country and cultural identity, and crucially as a language, which sounds like an absurd statement if you know nothing about the languages of france. french is a language, yes; it exists and existed in the late eighteenth century. but it was limited primarily to the north of france and was certainly not spoken or even understood across the country. other languages within france were banned and french was enforced following the french revolution and even to this day other languages indigenous to france have very little legal protection and are not recognised as official languages.

that's just one country in europe. one. and many people straight up have no idea about any of this!

did you know france has celtic languages? breton is the only celtic language spoken outside of the british isles. did you know france has germanic languages? alsatian, for example, is spoken in the east of france, unsurprisingly in alsace. it's not even the only french germanic language. did you know france has a number of languages and dialects known as langues d'oïl closely related to french? norman and picard, for example, are spoken in the north of france. did you know that france has gallo-romance languages? franco-provençal (which has a number of dialects) is spoken in the east of france, as well as parts of switzerland and italy. did you know that france has a language most closely related to catalan, the langues d'oc? occitan is spoken in the south of france and has a rich literary history. did you know france is home to basque, or rather euskara, a language isolate which predates indo-european languages? romani dialects! corsican! so much more than just french! there are even extinct jewish dialects of occitan! extinct langues d'oïl like angevin! so much linguistic diversity and all anyone talks about is french.

In Britain and Ireland we have Irish, Scottish Gaelic, Scots, Ulster Scots, Welsh, just to name a few. Wikipedia has a whole list of endangered languages of Europe for anyone curious: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_endangered_languages_in_Europe

I think we need to do more to dismantle the idea of the unified white identity, especially the european white identity, because it's what modern white supremacy is built on, and multiple ethnic groups are being erased in the process. one singular "european culture" is a myth, and even one singular "french culture" or "germanic culture" or "nordic culture" is a myth.

it's grainy as hell but here's a PDF of ethnic groups and identities of europe: https://cwis.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/European-Native-Peoples.pdf

(I want to make note that Irish travellers do not appear on this list, I'm guessing because they have no official flag, but are worth noting as a distinct ethnic group within Ireland.)

Same thing with indigenous languages in Russia. Some people in other countries don't even know that Russia is a multicultural country that became such because of colonialism in the Caucasus, in the Urals, in Siberia, in the Far East... Some of them are still surviving due to being spoken in areas with smaller ethnically Russian population, some of them are SCREWED. Chuvashian, the language of some of my ancestors is (kinda) screwed, Tuvan is screwed, Udmurt, Nenets, Evenk are screwed-screwed, the more minor ones are one foot in the grave already. Some young people from minorities don't care about them, they see their culture and language as something useless, prefering to identify as Russian, I had an Osetian friend who is like that. Some are discouraged from learning their ethnic group's language by their parents or peers because of the same "uselessness" narrative and xenophobia... You get the idea.
