He glared at her; she always knew how to press his buttons. "I know that! But you can hear thunder rumbling in the distance when a violent storm is coming."
"You'd like to bell the cat, as it were," she asked, grinning wider.
"I'd rather that more of the black widow was red than just the underside of her abdomen. If you approach a black widow from the back, you don't necessarily know how dangerous she is."
"Of course, only the female of the black widow species is venomous--"
