Sigh. Pregnancy paranoia means having to call the doctor when you suspect you have a burgeoning sinus infection, rather than just waiting it out.

My sinuses are epically full of goo, even for me. :( I don't want to think it's another sinus infection, but I hate feeling fluid empty out of my ears and back into my sinuses when I blow my nose. Also, the horrible feeling/sound of air rushing back into my sinuses a few moments afterward is highly disconcerting.

I tried using my neti pot yesterday to get rid of it, and it seems to've just made the whole mass more liquid, so when I roll over to lay on the other side at night, it takes less time for it to completely block the downward nostril's access to air/completely unblock the upward nostril. Once, with this horrible feeling of absolute rawness of the flesh up there, like air was some kind of awful sandpaper being rubbed over muscle tissue with no skin over it. WHEE.

Also, unsurprisingly, I have a headache, reaching from my right temple to the bridge of my nose.

This has been more or less the case for a couple days now. :/

On the plus side, the doctor's office (well, medical group) can fit me in today, in two hours, at a different location with a different doctor (an internist), lol. My OB's out of town anyway and my regular family-practice doc has no openings, so if it's going to be a different doctor anyway, it may as well be one at a location that's closer to home.

Still, it's annoying to have to go in for something that I, when not pregnant, would just live through.
