At our biweekly anime night this evening, I somehow found myself agreeing to run a campaign.
A Sailormoon RPG campaign. (Source book)
I've never DM'd before. I've never played a campaign under this system. I have only the vaguest possible plot concept. Obviously, the answer is to dive in with both feet first.
I know the following so far:
1) It'll be set in the Silver Millennium (as opposed to modern day or Crystal Tokyo)
2) Original characters only for PCs. Yes, I'm going to require you make your own Senshi (if you want to make something else, run it by me)
2b) We have several copies of the source book available, and will likely pick a day to meet all together and generate characters.
3) It's not getting run before December at the earliest, and likelier January
4) I am going to make absolutely ZERO guarantees about its objective quality; as mentioned, I've never done this before.
Who wants in?
I'm hesitant to have more than 4-5 total players for my virgin campaign, and I have
kaitou_marina,
oui_je_danse, and possibly
chiba_yuriko (maybe? I dunno if you wanted to play; you're welcome to come even if not) signed up already for this.
This will be run in person, at my place, in the library. Probably something like Thursday evenings, and likeliest every other week or once a month, though I'm open to changing that; it'll depend on what works for everyone.
Any takers?

Separately, if your game will have any mystery uncovering elements to it, this article was a pretty good read. (It's again worth noting that I haven't gotten the chance to test out any of the suggestions myself.)
