So for some reason, the change of the menu on Tumblr from a header menu to a persistent sidebar actively drives me away from the site. I hate it, haven't figured out how to change it, and can't use the site. That means you all get my quilting pics.

Right, so I started quilting in 2020 as a way to use up my mask scraps. It's developed into a full blown art hobby complete with taking over most of a spare bedroom and spreading into another. It turns out that quilting hits the art and puzzle completion dopamine buttons for me pretty good and I love that I get a useful item out at the end the way I didn't with embroidery. The Flickr album has a bunch of my recent completions although it's not comprehensive.

I try to keep the WIPs/unfinished objects to a minimum where I endeavor not to start new tops until I have previous ones quilted if only because I know I would do nothing but tops since I don't really enjoy the quilting process. It's better now that I have a machine that's better suited for doing the actual quilting, but I have a really hard time coming up with the line patterns for quilting in a way I don't for when it comes to doing colors and design mash ups for the tops. I have one top I intend to send out for professional quilting because I want it to look really fancy in a way I can't do at the moment. But I haven't been able to pick someone to do that. Meanwhile, I have two other tops that need quilting while I have a third one in progress. Which means I really need to shift focus to sandwiching and quilting.
