It's doubtful that anyone expects their day to get interrupted by getting summoned to another dimension all of a sudden, but Tails has been adapting to it the best he can. And by adapting to it, that means drafting up an extensive plan to settle into the R2 proper, reestablishing his footing. Long-term movement can be crossed off with an Extreme Gear thanks to Donnie's assistance, but the fox's chosen room is going to need a little more work than that.
Picking out a Cybertronian-sized room was already a start. More than that, though, there's building a hangar on top of the recharge slab; integrating an airway leading to the hangar; hollowing out the slab; reconfiguring the interior into a proper house; establishing a lab space in the room; and getting to even decorating the place, meaning he has a lot of work cut out for him. And this isn't even getting into the amount of gadgets and vehicles he's missing at the moment! But he can only start working on those after he gets a space established for himself first. Can't keep mooching off of others forever, especially if he's going to operate the same way he does at home.
Will he get to finishing all of this in a month? No way! But if he works hard enough, he could probably mark down most of the list. He just needs to find a good routine to make consistent progress.

01. Just maybe ready never, still we do
[ Shambling into the kitchen in what the R2's clock would consider the early morning, the Ex-Gear is propped against the wall with a yawn, before Tails pops a mint candy into his mouth and stretches, before he's off to make breakfast of some kind. He went to survey ingredients before, but making stuff with these foreign, if slightly-off ones was going to be trial and error in terms of actually making something palatable to him.
(Not that he hasn't been managing, but it's been weird trying to figure out what works best with what on the fly when he's under sleep inertia and is hungry for something.)
The stools around aren't nearly tall enough to prop him up standing, so he's been hovering around the kitchen, rapidly spinning his two tails just enough to keep himself afloat. If anything, it's good exercise! Something either steams from a pot, or sizzles in a pan when his ear flicks at the sound of someone entering the door, and his head turns around uncannily fast. ]
Oh—hi! Sorry. Don't mind me.
[ He should not be taking his eyes off the stove! But whatever he's cooking, it smells nice. ]

02. For none is ever better, win or lose it all
Though significantly more patient than his best friend, Sonic has certainly spoiled him at the pace he travels at over long distances. Zooming through the various halls as he moves throughout the ship, an amber streak follows behind him, tailing with the propulsion of riding a yellow hoverboard with a green, digital window on its top and bottom. He isn't going to try flying by his own ability if he can help it, saving that energy for when he isn't traveling across the ship, transporting materials, and asking the help of Vehicons; because by everything he's seen so far, things are really not scaled for him, and he needs to fly a lot outside of that. He might be the smallest on the ship, if he had to take a guess...
It makes navigating sharp turns all the more serious, especially if there are Cybertronians making their way through. Can't have a road accident happening, not when he's the only one driving! Presumably.
Around a corner and down a hall he goes, speeding on by until his board starts beeping, low on its fuel of gravity.
Gah, and there's no ramps around in this area to slide off of and recharge! With a grimace, Tails slows down to let it glide as namesakes spin, cruising to catch the Ex-Gear midair until he's hovering by himself with it in hand. His head looks around for the nearest surface to land on, preferably not the floor, and definitely not on a person.

[ A break is needed every once in a while, and not just for food. He likes the quiet of the library sometimes, but peeking into the skatepark, one can find Tails exercising a workout, but not in the traditional sense. He isn't riding a skateboard, but is instead traversing the area on foot—running along the slopes, the corkscrew, the loop-de-loop, everything. Sometimes, he curls into a spin-attack ball to roll across instead, before easily popping out of form to continue running.
But while his tails are spinning, it's not fast enough to fly. Deliberately keeping himself slower, the stunts he pulls after launching himself are still acrobatic and agile, though he's certainly holding back each time he builds up too much speed, opting to roll when he does. The fox isn't silent about his workout either, doing various cheers as he maneuvers around the area.
Eventually, he slows to take a different kind of break, one that involves sitting and drinking water while he catches his breath, before he intends to keep going. ]

But at the end of the day, everyone needs a place to crash, and he's no exception. The only problem is that his room is far from ready to snooze in, but at least the Super Kool Kidz Organic room has pillows and blankets.
On the windowsill is a pile of pillows with a sleeping fox on them, tails covering his body beneath an actual blanket. Laying on his side and facing the stars, his sleep is quiet and low; if it weren't for the slow rise and fall of soft breathing, someone could easily mistake the fox as a plush toy. Under this current lull of activity, the limited amount of visitors who can drop by into the room helps him earn his rest, and his small size makes him unnoticeable at a glance.
The sound of the something or someone else slipping into his hearing range, however, earns the flick of an ear, and subsequent noises make him stir. Tails, alas, is not a heavy sleeper, and things have been dreamless thus far. Soon enough, he turns, and his head groggily cranes over to the source of the disturbance, eyes blearily squinting.
He mumbles something like an apology before any other words can be said.

04 - Just gonna put up the WHA spoilers warning here for the anime-only peoples
It's nice to know there are places like this, set up for the smaller denizens of the ship. More importantly, it's not so overwhelmingly huge, and while he doesn't understand many of the things within it, it has more than a few cozy spots, and isn't too often found in use.
Oh, but that's a new scent. Curiosity gets the better of him, padding quietly over towards the window and its concerningly endless sea of stars. He hasn't done much stargazing ever since Qifrey likened the space beyond to the void toilets back home, still unsure of what to think about that. Much easier to focus on the little fuzzy lump there in the pillow pile. Fuzzy..?
And so it is that Tails will find a large shadow looming over him:
no subject
Wait, that's the face of a—
"WAUGH! BIG GUY!"
The covers are thrown off instantly, as every strand of fur flares out in surprise. A giant wolf?! What's one doing all the way out here?! Were they... lost, or something? Were they also looking for a place to rest?
"Sorry, sorry!" One hand grasps where his heart is over his chest, as he steadies his breathing, expecting the other to have jumped in turn. "Y-you startled me!"
Perhaps, notably, Tails still has his gloves and shoes being worn. Can't exactly sleep somewhere that's still technically public without belongings on person, if not nearby.
no subject
One good scare deserves another!
The big scale wolf yelps- although it sounds suspiciously very non-wolflike. He jerks back, the voice that comes from it (wait, voice?) sounding so very out of place for how young it sounds.
"A-ah! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to..!" he apologizes, shuffling back to sit, ducking his head. The overall attempt to look smaller really doesn't work, but there's something about such a large creature looking so...sheepish.
no subject
"H-hey, it's... okay..." Tails waves his hands in front of him. He feels his beating heart slow down, seeing as there's nothing to really be alarmed of. "You didn't know I was sleeping here."
Taking a look now that his vision isn't blurred from being half-asleep, he can observe their details better. Black fur and shining scales make up this wolf, and their attitude was clearly anxious from startling him awake. Hmm...
The fox adjusts himself to sit up proper, lowering his hands then in an attempt to ease the wolf pup. "It's peaceful in here, right? Is that why you were looking around?"
no subject
Well, it does help a little. Euini raises his head slightly, ears perking a bit.
"It is," he agrees. "I like that it doesn't seem as huge as the rest of the places here. It seems very comfortable..."
His ears flatten again. "I'm sorry I disturbed you. I-I can leave if you want."
no subject
Tails takes one of the pillows behind him, setting it in an empty spot between the two of them, before he hops down from the windowsill.
Gathering an armful of more pillows from the couch and the floor, he flies up to drop them onto the spot where the lonely pillow sat, setting a bed of them together. It's not enough for the size of the wolf pup, though, so he has to go back for another trip, basically taking all of the pillows in the room to accommodate for them.
"There we go," he says, once he deems the effort good enough, and lands back down onto his spot. "Does that fit you?"
no subject
The scale wolf tilts his head at that. Well, it doesn't seem like he's being dismissed...
He watches as Tails puts a pillow down, already picking up on the fox's intent. He would have been happy enough just with the one, the gesture more than appreciated. But Euini realizes that the two-tailed fox isn't stopping there, the only reason he doesn't immediately lop onto the first pillow. Oh... Oh...!
It is quite the nest of pillows there! He didn't think there were so many in the room, and much less would he have thought to gather them all just for his own personal use. The pile looks oh so very comfy though, so the wolf can't help but step carefully into the middle of it before flopping completely.
"Just right!" he pipes, his tail wagging. It sure beats the ground any day! Having a bed again here on the ship had definitely been one of the pluses of this place, but this is much more accommodating for a wolf.

[Someone... let alone... a very small fox thing using its tails? To hover while it cooked??]
Oh, hello! No need to apologize, it's a public space after all.
no subject
Tails then gives a short, sheepish laugh. Right... he keeps forgetting that! Communal area means anyone, and everyone could possibly be in here at the same time. A sheepish grin appears on his mouth, as he flips over chicken(?) breasts in the skillet. Another four or five minutes, before he puts these on a plate, and then cooks the sliced mushrooms, and make the sauce after that...
According to the recipe he remembers, anyway. He hopes the other person doesn't mind the bowl of sliced, slightly-cooked space potatoes sitting to the side, or the other ingredients sitting scattered around the counter. That should probably get tided into a corner for himself if they were going to make their own food, so he reaches out with one hand to scoot it all aside. ]
Whoops—!
[ ...Which makes a wrapped stick of butter drop to the floor. Ah. Can't even claim butterfingers... ]
no subject
[He knew not everyone on the ship was going to be a chatterbox, but the sheepish laugh made him wonder if the other wasn't exactly comfortable with sharing a space. Maybe he'd just grab a few things out of the fridge and excuse himself... Qifrey was just about to tell Tails he didn't need to clean up on his behalf, when a stick of butter inadvertently took a nosedive off the counter. He stooped to scoop it up, putting it back on the counter next to the other items Tails had.]
There you are. I just came in to grab a few things, so please don't feel the need to rush.
[He tried to sound reassuring.]
Unless you could use an extra set of hands? It can't be easy to use the kitchen here when it's not to an appropriate scale for you.
no subject
Tails opens his mouth to give a thanks, though after the person speaks, a laugh and a scratch on the back of his head comes out instead. ]
Haha, no... it isn't!
But are you sure you don't want to use this space? I'm only tucking these to be out of the way, since it's kind of a mess around here. I usually don't worry about it since I'm used to living by myself, buuuuuut it's not the best organized if someone else wants to come in and do their own thing.
[ So he shrugs. But the assurance appears to ease him greatly, as his posture isn't as stiffened as it was on their arrival. ]
no subject
That's very considerate of you, but I won't need the stove for what I'm making.
[The great thing about the R2 was that he didn't really need to have a specific plan on what to make and stick to it, since there were always ingredients around. Some yogurt with fruit and toast would do just as well.]
[Qifrey moved over to the sink to wash his hands, though was clearly peering at Tail's cooking.]
What are you cooking? It smells nice.
no subject
[ So that was kind of for nothing, but that's fine in case a third person pops into the kitchen and needs the stove. There's always the possibility, don't be outsmarting his thought process now!
Another minute passes, before he reaches to press the exhaust button to turn it on above. ]
Creamy mushroom chicken. Or, I think this is chicken... It smells like it, and my scanner says that it has a similar enough composition to one by roughly 87%. I'll take my chances. I'll be cooking the mushrooms and the sauce shortly...
[ Carefully, he starts transferring the chicken breasts onto a plate. ]
It's a recipe from one of my best friends. She's more of a baker, but still has plenty of other things for other techniques.

03 // Battle Network Megaman aka Hub Hikari
It would've been a disorientating experience for a lot of people, but he wasn't a lot of people. He was a NetNavi, an AI that had been purely digital before arriving here, and navigating networks and communicating with programs was one of his main functions.
He watched with wide optics as the new person moved blisteringly fast, maybe even as fast as Quick Man! He had to spread himself out further to watch from multiple cameras to even try to keep up, aaaand once again, Hub only knew that he'd made his data spread out too far and become diffuse when he tumbled out of the nearest wall console in a stream of pixels.
At least this time it wasn't an actual bellyflop again, just skidding across the room on his stomach like he'd been moving at high speed too.
"That's getting really annoying..." He muttered into the floor, then peeked up warily, in case he'd startled another person prepared to scatter his pixels with a gun or something again. "Sorry!" He added quickly, closing one eye in a wince. "Sorry sorry! Don't mean to surprise you!"
no subject
Instead of continuing on his course, he instead drops into a ball to the flat ground, bouncing to run over to the stranger as they brace in expectation for a hit.
The fox calls instead, "Hey! Are you alright?" A hand extends as an offer to help them up, and he has to wonder if previous reactions to their appearance didn't go so well.
no subject
He felt awful scaring people, and he suspected having his data dispersed violently would not be a very enjoyable experience.
He then lifted his head and gave the new arrival a weak but very genuine smile before he took the offered hand. Touching Hub left a tingling sensation behind, and he was much lighter than a traditional mechanical AI or flesh and blood human would've been, so he popped right up off of the floor.
"I'm all right, promise!" He reassured Tails quickly. He was a little embarrassed by it all actually, and rubbed a finger where a dusting of blue colored his cheeks with a little laugh. "It's my own fault, anyway. All this time later and I'm still not used to the idea that I can't spread myself out as far in the network as I used to. Not without, ah. That happening."
A blink, and he lowered his hand with another smile. "I'm Hub, by the way. Or... one of two people named Megaman on board, though Rock says we shouldn't say that part out loud much."
no subject
...Hang on a second. Supposedly spread in the network, pixels from the console, lightweight, the slight fuzz of static buildup that was on his glove...
"Oh—! I see! You're a completely digital A.I., aren't you?" The excitement in his voice rises, as a faint shimmer of awe shines in his eyes. The fox pumps his fists in front of his chest, namesakes slowly twisting behind him. "Nice to meet you, Hub. I'm Tails! You were watching me before you popped out here, weren't you?"
An edge of faint amusement makes way into his voice at that question, though he does have to wonder why Hub, and not plain ol' "Mega Man." That'll be a pin to revisit later.
no subject
Hub could only blink at what was said next, mouth parting in open surprise as Tails put together what he was much faster than he'd experienced from anyone except Donnie. He hadn't expected the excitement about it either, and true happiness lit up his whole face.
"I am, yes! That's-" He laughed a little, hardly knowing what to do with this. It was nice, though. Very, very nice. "That is quite perceptive of you. But, yes. I'm a NetNavi, or network navigator. In part I was made to be an AI assistant to my NetOp, Lan, along with a companion and guardian, of sorts?" His expression went softer when he mentioned Lan, fond and sad all at once, before he shook his head.
"Technically, my files are compiled under the official name Megaman.exe. Back home, I couldn't manifest like this, so that's why I'm still clumsy with it. It's still very new for me."
He nodded at Tails' introduction with another smile, but before he could return the usual courtesies, Tails teased him!
He blinked rapidly, sputtering a little bit. "I, um. Yes? Maybe? I was curious," he admitted bashfully, that dusting of blue spreading further, but he began to laugh again. "You move so fast, I was having trouble following you from device to device! I ended up spreading my awareness out so that I could watch you from more than one, and then, that." He gestured vaguely back at the console.
"How do you manage it? I don't feel programs talking from inside your body, so you must be organic. Have you always been able to- ...wait, is that rude to ask someone? I'm sorry."
no subject
It feels so long ago that he first met Sage, in spite of it being only a couple months back. Her purpose even sounds similar to Hub's, but the fox doubts that the similarities would outnumber the differences. By personality alone, they were already opposites on a surface level, and something tells him they might also sit on opposite moral grounds.
So Hub was new to interacting with the physical world... Briefly, Tails' head tilts as he cups his chin. "Huh. Was it something that came with the R2, or did entering this world change something in your program in general...? Sage's abilities became limited after leaving the Starfall Islands, and she needs a device to project a hard-light construct in order to interact physically now..."
Before long, though, Tails bashfully giggles in turn, scratching the back of his head. Aww, come on. He's not that fast, and he was holding himself back while doing his stunts there! But he supposes it's impressive.
He puffs out his chest, "No worries for asking. I am organic! And I only learn from the best. But while I can go faster while flying, I'm not nearly as fast as Sonic can be, hah. Still got a long ways to go."

02
The nearby doors swish open, giving Tails an abrupt view of orange-red as a massive humanoid bird steps out. He's dressed in more casual clothing than the black armor he'd normally wear, but at the moment he's got no battle to be in. But he does blink as he catches sight of the little fellow, a feathery brow arching.
"Oh."
The thirty-foot Quetzalcoatlkin holds out a clawed hand for the tiny fox to use as a landing pad, the other tapping at some headpiece to banish the visor that had been across his eyes so he can better study the little one and his transport.
no subject
The offer of the hand is appreciated though, as Tails pitches in a chipper, "Thanks!" as he moves in for a gentle landing.
"I'll be just a moment," he says, patting dust off himself and the Ex-Gear. "Didn't expect to run out of fuel this early on a trip." He probably should've taken a look before going on his way, but lunch doesn't typically wait for anyone.
no subject
"Do take your time. Were you headed anywhere specific? Perhaps I can drop you off."
no subject
He awkwardly scratches the back of his head, but beams an honest smile. "The bar, it's uh... Maccdam's...? That's what it's called, right? Still familiarizing myself around the place."
no subject
"Close. Maccadam's," he says. "So you are one of the newer arrivals. I am Tech. I believe the ship itself isn't all too difficult to get used to by way of layout. The real challenge is in getting from place to place, although it is a nice addition, having the tram system for those who might end up underfoot if they have no better way to navigate the halls. But there are many like yourself who have opted for more personal means of transportation."
no subject
"Maccadam's. Got it." Close! He just has to remember that extra "a."
The fox opts to sit criss-cross applesauce to not wear out his legs, tails politely wrapping around them as he sets the Ex-Gear on top of his lap. There's a curious tilt of his head given the giant's name, but he then extends a hand for a handshake in spirit.
"Nice to meet you, Tech! I'm Tails. I've operated the tram system before, and it's super cool to see it function in a place like this—but I like going at my own pace, y'know? It's a little rigid for my tastes." In going both slow, and fast. Sonic’s spoiled him on this more than he’d like to admit.
