Long Weekend

First of all, I'm trying to edit my livejournal to put a background, but the background colour is overwriting it, (if you right click view background image on my plain image, you'll get a pretty interesting variant of the default windows desktop, ^^), anyone out there who can help?

I've sold out this week and am now on Facebook and Twitter, on top of my Myspace and Vampire Freaks accounts, twitter could be a nice distraction once more appear on there and I'm still using Myspace over facebook due to number but Facebook is proving to be more popular with people though.

I've recieved a lot of praise from my supervisors at my work @ ANZ, in regards to my performance at the job. It's always nice to get praise but the timing is very, very, very, very important. Considering that there is a good chance a few staff may be let go (and it'll be the temp staff like me obviously), this is

Gotten very addicted to Pokemon recently, god damn it, I forgotten how much fun those games are, yes, lets all point at Craig being such a geeky asian nerd, lol. Also need to catch up lots on the anime this weekend. As someone suggest in my Adelaide post, as I've heavily noticed recently, I'm proving to become very, very, very loved and seeming to find my home in the anime/cosplaying scene these days. I could go on and on about what this means, in short, I generally do not have to try hard and can make friends far more easily in this area I've noticed.

On that note, a very reliable source(s) inform there will be a DDR tournament this year, which should be very, very, very, very interesting. We've all had a mega whinge because holding the tournament on an old DDR machine is the equivilent of telling all the Formula 1 drivers that they have to do the next race in go karts. On that note I have more plans to get into shape heavily for this, I did 27kms of running the previous week and none this week thanks to a big weekend and illness, although hopefully this should change soon, it'll be a challenge to keep a good fitness schedule with TAFE coming in.

Having been stuck indoors and unable to do much this week, I've decided to learn how to make hair falls this week, it's proving to be a lot harder and more challenging then I thought but I've got the basic idea now. I'm not taking any orders or planning to make money off it any time soon, since it's more about having fun, experimenting and finding my own style. I'm just doing very basic dreads this week and messing around with a few colours and twists, I've got some really awesome ideas in regards to doing some falls with plastic, PVC and metal. I've been looking for a creative outlet for a while and this will prove to be a good one, watch this space, I'm aiming to have my first practise set done this long weekend.

Heard awesome news of a very interesting event that could be coming up next month, if the rumour is true, one of my favouritest DJ's at the moment might be coming to Perth, I'll announce it soon once it's true and not rumoured, ITG fans will obviously guess which one I'm obsessed with (no, it's not fucking discotronic!). For this event I'm aiming to have a pretty cool outfit, falls and I'm also hoping to teach myself a few new dance moves, either shuffling or breakdancing. Yes, it sounds a bit odd and bizarre, however, I'm pretty hyped with energy and making the move from ITG to proper dancing isn't tricky for me in what I've discovered this month.

In terms of musical news, I'm also hoping to do a few industrial mixes this weekend too, I've got a few lying around but they were a bit of a mess around (I went overkill on the special effects for experimentation) and am thinking about finishing them off properly, might get a few opinions out on whether or not they're worthy for Sin. Oh and more importantly I can beat match and stuff, none of this silly fade in and out within a few seconds. I've done this for some time because honestly I think it would be cool and fun to DJ @ Sin but my god I seriously don't have the inspiration to do this after all the industrial events I've seen last year, *inserts Apocalyptico by Presets and pushes shuffle*, would probably prove more popular then what I could do. *sigh*

Anyways, illness is not bringing down my mood, it's an important weekend, a much quieter one, way focused on me for once after the massive social outpooring into everyone last weekend.
