SO EMBARRASSING.

Got a message today asking about the episode of Law and Order that me and Crime are in. The episode is called Lost Children of the Blood and it is every bit as retarded as that title sounds. I'm not linking it and don't suggest you watch it, as I could not even make it through the entire episode. I show up twice in the club scene and those of you from NY are sure to recognize some of your friends in there as they did a pretty good job of grabbing a bunch of actual NYC goths for the club scene (but obviously not the principal actors which is pretty lame, to be honest)

The dialogue is laughable and of course the vampires focused on are predatory, girl-drugging rapists and not the nice people with a penchant for pointy teeth that I know and love. So Bleh! there it is. Nobody really knew what the actual episode was about or anything when we shot it, otherwise they probably wouldn't have shown. We happened to be shooting right near my fave bar The Double Down Saloon, so we kept stopping in for shots between takes, and grabbing newly made friends to come and partake with us. Bad influence? who? me?

In other news, having trouble deciding what to wear for the show I have coming up on the 19th. It's the sugar and spikes Rock n' Roll fashion show so I thought of combining lolita with a punky feel to it. I also thought of doing some kind of pink camo pseudo tankgirlish thing. What do you think?

This party includes a frickin' Black Light Ball Pit and a fetish carnival ride that consists of willing volunteers getting vacuum sealed in rubber and suspended in the air. Not to mention sideshow performers, electro play and of course, me lookin' sassy in greasepaint. SO MUCH FUN!

I usually don't do these kinds of things but hey, Aiko 273 posted it and I figured it could be fun ^_^

Reply to this post letting me know you want in and I will give you 5 words/phrases that make me think of you, then you need to say what these five words/phrases mean to you.

These are the 5 Aiko picked that made her think of me:

1. Music- I can't picture life without it. When I found music it's like I unlocked my voice and found a way to share it with the whole world.

2. Illustration/painting- I've been doing art since I was a wee baby Blight. Illustration especially is incredibly close to my heart and the basis for all the work I do, whether it's sculpture or painting or what have you. Painting is something I still feel I'm in the process of learning, there's so many different ways to approach it. I like that it really gives me a challenge and I think the years of working digitally give me a unique approach when it comes to "real" painting. I still sometimes paint with my fingers.

3. Wiggy wigs- Wigs make me the ultimate chimera, I love how with just this one accessory you can change your whole look and even your personality. Most people don't recognize me without my wig so it's also like having a secret identity.

4. Pirates- YAAAAaaaaar! the reason for my attraction to RUM, amputees and things with skulls on them.

5. Circus arts- I started Circus Arts just a few years ago and it means a lot of different things to me. It gave me confidence and strength, not just in my body but in my mind. When you're up in the air and pulling off tricks you are focused on the trick and nothing else, there's no time or place for fear. The circus will always represent freedom and creativity to me and the fact that I'm even a small part of that amazing tradition makes me really happy.

So today something pretty awesome happened! After having food poisoning a week and a half ago and just getting over laryngitis I was greeted with the most wondrous thing.

A package in the mail!

Those of you who are just getting to know me may not be aware, but I am a huge fan of hard copy. Letters, handmade items, sketches, anything that I can see that someone made effort to create, knowing that somehow I managed to inspire them in some way means a LOT to me.

So imagine after feeling crappy for what seemed like forever and trying to promote the last minute show I have on sunday, what it felt like to receive a beautiful original painting by one of my favorite retro-pinup artists DL Norton!!! OMGWTFBBQ!!1111

Said painting is a cyborg/sailor moon version of me with a razorblade on her tongue and a wee pet spider! As much as I always enjoyed his stuff online, it's even more incredible to see in person, especially the ultra vivid colors!

Alot of times I find myself unsure of what to write (or rather, whether to write about my crazy life or protect the innocents no doubt corrupted in my wake) or whether anyone's even reading this anymore. OH MAN! So, because of not having a TV and generally wreaking havoc and being irresponsible, I'm always the last to pick up on things related to popular culture (aka stuff everyone else knows and I find out 3 months later). I still love to ask people what time it is and break out into the PEANUT BUTTER JELLY TIME dance.

Just recently I found out the geniuses behind that sparkling gem of musicality created an almost identical song called "Ice Cream and Cake" that became popular through rather clever cheezy stop motion commercials by Baskin Robbins. I am particularly fond of the Halloween version.

Apparently, such was the popularity of these commercials that Baskin Robbins threw down their frosty gauntlet and had an Ice Cream and Cake DANCE OFF

The results were hilarious, awkward adorably weird and surprisingly skilled
