Things Behind The Sun is an old futuristic/cyberpunk/body horror wip that I’m revamping.

It takes place in a technologically advance city where everything is automated and done by computers, bots, machinery, and androids. The androids are very realistically human looking and are almost entirely owned by the wealthy elite of the city making them very divisive amongst the lower classes.

Cross is a tech maintenance worker who works for the city taking care of all the tech and machines that run the city. He lost his arm in an accident when he was crushed under heavy machinery and had his arm amputated which was replaced with a robotic prosthetic. This left him with severe chronic pain and he developed a drug addiction. Saint is a “rogue” android, so he doesn’t have an owner, essentially had his serial number filed off, and acts independently. He’s also Cross’s drug dealer.

The street drug of choice is called Blue which is made from coolant components in androids, basically the androids “blood”. Saint harvests coolant from dead deactivated androids to make Blue. He also harvests other body parts components from these deactivated androids and either sells them on the black market or keeps them for his weird ass collection. Sometimes he even kills forcefully deactivates other androids for their components. This freaks a lot of people out including Cross but Cross is also addicted to Saint’s blood so he doesn’t really have a leg to stand on. Also because Cross’s tech knowledge he does maintenance on Saint and is often elbow deep in Saint’s insides. So they have a very homoerotic sexually tense perverted relationship.

In the plot of Things Behind The Sun, Saint and Cross decide to steal android components from the android manufacturer Roswell Corp. One of the components that Saint likes to harvest are the memory chips, basically part of androids’ brains. The memory chips he steals from Roswell Corp actually has incriminating evidence that implicates the CEO in a conspiracy that could topple the robotics industry. The CEO, who presents herself as the Mother of androids and who some androids treat as their god, sends Luke who is a mercenary and an android after Saint and Cross to kill them. So the two have to go on the run while dealing with the conspiracy that they’ve found themselves in the middle of.
