1. Had my exam today, am officially free of academic commitments for a couple of months! Well, I will probably be getting back into my thesis now that I've jumped through the stupid hoop they put in front of me, but it still means plenty of free time to smash out fic before seminar classes start in late August. Run sheet, is, as most of you know, demon!verse plus scattered stuff for Kink Bingo. Speaking of, I'm really surprised by the majority response to posting demon!verse as a wip! I didn't expect that to be the popular option at all.

2. Lydia drew ahsdkjhsdkjsdhjsomgomg demon!verse gunporn. (NSFW) This is a scenario she came up with based on a couple of my kink bingo squares that I'm going to be working on over the next couple of weeks alongside the start of the verse proper. Still not sure I can make the fic as awesome though, seriously. Also she finally drew Arthur's thigh tattoo that shows up later in that verse, yuss. \o/

3. Speaking of gunporn

If you've never seen Equilibrium, GO NOW. It's a really awesome dystopian scifi flick with CHRISTIAN BALE and GUNS and JUST WATCH IT OKAY. I wrote a little Arthur/Eames AU based on it ages ago, it's that great a verse. It's surprisingly under-appreciated and obscure, I've found.

4. Two extremely important and long-standing guildies of mine stood down this week. Raiding has been scarce for us this year as it is, but without out very best raid leader/healer and one of the tanks, we're now literally high and dry. This makes me so sad, I just want to rewind to the end of Wrath and raid the shit out of ICC again. WOW!VERSE IS PERMANENTLY FROZEN AT THE POINT WHEN ICC WAS STILL PROGRESSION OKAY. *sob*

Yes there was a fight in which the whole raid gets JETPACKS and JUMPS ONTO THE ENEMY SHIP and BEAR TANKS GOT ROCKETS ON THEIR BUTTS. ICC was clearly the best raid ever, even with Sindragosa.

My guild basically stopped playing after Wrath, too. They made equipment so important again that you need raids to get gear, but you can't even get randoms (much less raids) unless you already have the kind of gear that you need randoms and raids to get. Catch-22 is no fun.

I would be happy for WOW!verse to remain in Wrath era forever, but that doesn't mean you can't pretend stuff is going on between them anyway... it will just be a verse that's been Jossed, er, Blizzarded.

Yeah, it's really gross. Plus even with a geared, competent group, the dungeons are all SO LONG so getting everyone geared to entry raid standard is even harder. I pine so badly for Wrath, I can't stand all the hardcore players who are like OH NO WE LOVE THIS YOU GUYS ARE JUST PUSSIES. :/

Unfortunately I already pretty clearly dated it to the drop of Cata, lol. In my head right now they are just suffering the same issues we are. XD

Arthur just needs lots of sex to cure his crankiness over Cata, then. :) I mean, he would have to LEAVE WORK EARLY if he wanted to raid, and he's an international criminal with a reputation for competency to uphold. He doesn't have time for that shit.

Equilibrium is awesome. I think it came out not long after The Matrix, so it kind of got lost in its wake. Shame, too.

Such a shame. I'm surprised it hasn't seen more of a revival, given how popular Bale has gotten.
