New journal

I've decided to stay with LJ after all. Add av_0. I'm going to transfer photos and relevant (day zero) posts within the next few days before I delete this one. I'll give it about a week or so. :)

Closure feels okay. New beginnings.

New blog tomorrow.

I'm not sure yet if I'm going to stick with LJ. It's been 10 years since I've been here (7 years on this username, 3 years on the old one). Tons of old whiny posts. Besides, I think there are only 3 or 4 of you that have stuck around, and I thank you beautiful people. I'll update with the new blog tomorrow. I'll update with my backlog of photos for 101/1001 there. ♥

Holy shit, first time able to update

What is up with LJ? Every time I've tried to access in the past couple of days, it loads and load and never gets anywhere.

Now that I'm here, I have to go because the girls have dental appts. I have much catching up to do on my 101 list! I'm also starting a whole30 program tomorrow, so I will update on that as well. :)

Super busy day today, I'll scan and upload my handwriting thing tomorrow.

Until then, here are some pictures.

Crystal and her friend Molly watch some TV after playing and making Xmas cookies.

Smiley ladies.

The girls wrapped their own presents. Ho boy, they were super excited to hand them out to friends and family. :3

I showed them how to track Santa on NORAD on Christmas Eve. After their baths, they made sure to clean their rooms and brush their teef before I put it up on my tablet. They were excitedly huddled around a tiny screen, I thought it was precious.

The realized I was taking pictures. lol.

Christmas eve pictures always take place in front of the tree, in the same PJs.

Santa got chocolate cherry cocoa (from the Reindeer Festival) and some cookies we baked earlier that day.

I've started another 101/1001 list

The old one was due to expire in September 2013, but my goals from that have either been completed, or are out of date.

Here's the list:
http://dayzeroproject.com/user/av0…

If you're on the Day Zero website, please feel free to add me. I will bring 10 goals here to LJ that I want to complete, so I can track my progress. :)

Since there are 999 days left in my list, here are my 10 goals I want to get started on:

2) Write a letter to myself to be opened when the 1001 days is over
6) Save up $2000 cash for no particular reason
set up savings account that can only be accessed through the tellers:
http://ic.pics.livejournal.com/csa…
30) Read 1001 books the girlies. Take a photo of each book to keep track
47) Complete a 200 Sit-ups Challenge
67) Buy a Wreck This Journal and finish it
(ordered via Amazon.ca Dec 28/12)
75) Floss every day for a month
(started Dec 28/12)
82) Blog every day for a month
(started Dec 27/12)
83) Do the handwriting challenge (http://30daychallengearchive.tumbl…)
(in progress here)
84) Set monthly budgets
100) Re-establish a connection with 5 penpals. Keep in touch on a regular basis

Daily, I will update on progress (photo or verbal progress). The 25 day handwriting challenge coincides with the blog every day for a month, so that's 2 birds with one stone. Once I've completed a goal, I will add another to round it back to 10 active goals.

I figure this would be a great way to celebrate life, and to initiate positive lifestyle changes.

DONE:

45) Take a picture for each letter of the alphabet here

I'm not much into rap, but I really like this song.

In other news, I wrote 2 letters this weekend. This is noteworthy. I might even write more. Maybe today, since I'm off work for feeling like hell. The kids haven't been feeling hot, either. The girls are mellowing out in the kitchen with their legos & mugs of apple tea.

I submitted a paper on Core Values last week. I included some anecdotes from my past to validate some points. I'm quite proud of this response.

Wow, this is the best core values assignment ever! Amber, thank you taking such a comprehensive approach to all the work you do in this course. Thank you for sharing your life story too; getting to know you feels like a true privilege.
