reasons people might be looking at you in public (that aren’t negative)

  • they like what you’re wearing.
  • you look like someone they know.
  • they recognize a piece of clothing or accessory you’re wearing.
  • they think you’re beautiful or attractive.
  • they’re not actually looking at you; they’re completely zoned out.
  • they're bored and people-watching.
  • they recognize you from somewhere.
  • they’re hesitating to ask you something or give you a compliment.
  • they’ve seen you in that same place before.
  • you caught their eye.
  • you look like how they imagined a fictional character to look.
  • you’re actively reminding them of something completely unrelated and they’re thinking about it.
  • they’re admiring one of your visual qualities (smile, stance, hairstyle).

also good to note that when someone walks into a room or moves suddenly or makes a noise it’s a normal reaction for people to look over! it doesn’t mean you did anything wrong or are being weird if everyone looks over at you, it’s just curious animal brain :]

i'm hella guilty of the first two LOL i will do triple takes bc of it 😭 hopefully subtly tho

after Bad Bunny won they added a Latin song category and after Rosé got three nominations the grammys added a k-pop/c-pop/j-pop category they have always been afraid of well-performing artists of color challenging white artists in mainstream categories

Notably, they added the Asian pop category after Golden from K-Pop Demon Hunters won the best song written for visual media award. As it was the first k-pop song to win a Grammy in the history of the awards, this was huge for the industry and the fans.

As prev mentioned, Rosé was nominated for three Grammys last year during the 68th Grammys, but this has been going on for a little longer than that.

BTS has been nominated five times over the years, with the first time being the 63rd Grammys in 2021. every time they've been nominated, the Grammys have invited them to perform during the ceremony. BTS has been vocal about their dream of winning a Grammy for years, and they've performed every time. The Grammys have made a huge profit from increased viewership every time BTS performs for them. Yet, the Grammy has never gone to BTS, even when the numbers are clearly in their favor.

This year, after the Grammys announced the new categories, including Asian pop, BTS announced that they would not be entering the Grammys this year. In a wildly petty move, the Grammys responded by deleting all of the videos of BTS' Grammy performances over the years from their website.

All of this to say, the Grammys have been pulling this shit for a long time, but with the creation of these new categories, it's so much harder to deny the overt racism that the western industry is saturated in.

the grammys have always been racist as fuck we've known this but now let's not pretend that the reason for creating the asian category was because bruno mars's song ft rose was nominated 😭 when the real reason is that kpop demon hunters won a grammy AND that bts finally had a comeback and are charting way too well to be denied a grammy for a fourth time but yes the grammys are racist and actively segregating music without a doubt

I've finally completed something I've been wanting to do for YEARS-- bind a copy of one of my absolutely favourite fics of all time; Moonlight (Every Single Night) by @heleentje and @ginneke! This was my first bookbinding project (aside from another I worked on simultaneously, but details.) so there are some errors but I'm so proud of it nonetheless!

Most of the graphics came from VectorNoob on Etsy, and what didn't I made myself!

Since the passage of days is so integral to the story of Moonlight, my idea with the endpapers was a sunrise going into a sunset, but I'm not sure how well that came across, haha! And within the text itself, under each chapter I included the sheikah symbol for h or g, depending on if Heleentje or Ginneke wrote that specific chapter/canonised side fic! I also ordered two sets of the dtf transfers for the cover and did end up only needing one, so I used some of the left over transfers to make a matching felt bookmark as well :D The transfers came a little too big despite me having remeasured like four or five times, so I had to chop it up to make it fit and that's why some of the text ended up tilted lol.

I had a lot of fun working on this, and I'm so so so happy it's finally done!

One more photo below of something included within the text itself that is actually spoilers for Moonlight!

Oh my god, it looks incredible!!! I absolutely love the cover and the endpapers as well, and the Sheikah H and G is so sweet! I'm so glad this exists in the world!

(Also, it's one thing to know the total word count of Moonlight and another to see just what a doorstopper the full thing is XD)

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING HELLOOOOOO I AM OBSESSED
