Well. Technically I didn't get a present.
I submitted a prompt at the HP Sexstarsfest 2011 and a generous, talented soul took it and wrote this wonderful gem of a fic Forget–Me–Not! So you see, it's as good as being given a present. And you can't imagine how long I wished for this particular prompt to be written for me!
Just to entice you: It’s a Snarry. It’s NC-17.
You’ll recognise Harry although he's not a saviour but lost, in need of rescuing himself. I found this Harry interesting and I am dying to know what you think of him!
The writer sets up an excellent dystopia that makes Snape’s choice of profession less unlikeable, more believable. (And well, that’s quite the task of course!) She cleverly displays Snape’s strengths and weaknesses. We come to understand how he can survive even under dire circumstances, how he perseveres and in the same instance she shows us how the mechanisms that keep him alive also keep him from breaking free. And–no, I can't tell you more! You have to go and read it ;)
I really, really hope you give this a try! The writer did a lovely job and even if this is not your typical Snarry I think you will still recognise the core elements that make this pairing so special!
