Tourism receives grant for Tomato Trail

Hanover County Tourism has received a $20,000 grant for its Tomato Trail initiative from Virginia Tourism Corporation.

The Tomato Trail celebrates Hanover County’s rich agricultural heritage and nationally recognized Hanover tomatoes by encouraging residents and visitors to explore local farms, restaurants, markets and businesses connected to the County’s signature crop. The project aims to boost visitor engagement, support local businesses and encourage travelers to experience the County’s unique blend of agriculture, history and hospitality.

Hanover County is proud to celebrate the dedicated employees who helped shape our community through years of public service.

Those who retired in good standing with 15 or more years of service will be honored with a personalized engraved brick as part of the Legacy Walk.

RSVP is required online here or by calling 804-365-6083.

Meet the mother-daughter duo on Team Hanover

Meet Staci and Symantha “Symmi” Crocker — a duo whose bond is built on love, laughter and always being there for one another.

Whether they’re sharing life advice, cheering each other on or making each other laugh, their connection shines both at home and at work.

As members of Team Hanover, Staci and Symmi serve our community together in public safety — Staci with the Hanover County Sheriff's Office and Symmi in our Emergency Communications Department. Their story is a special reminder that family connections can make an impact far beyond the walls of home.
