Hanover County Communications and Community Engagement is dedicated to keeping residents, businesses and employees informed, connected and involved. The team manages the County’s internal and external communications, ensuring clear, accurate and timely information is shared across multiple platforms, including the website, social media, newsletters and multimedia projects.
In addition to serving as the County’s primary point of contact for media relations, the department leads community outreach efforts, helping residents engage with County programs, services and initiatives. Communications and Community Engagement also oversees the administration of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), promoting transparency and open government.
Through storytelling, public engagement and responsive communication, the department works to strengthen trust, build relationships and highlight the people, projects and services that make Hanover County a great place to live, work and play.
