My, how the landscape of elections has changed. Remember when the issue of abortion used to matter to conservatives in political races? Today presidential nominees can get away with murder, literally. They can smoke, toke and hang out with terrorists who do. What were once considered legitimate leadership litmus tests are now regarded as off-limit character assassinations and hate language. Recently, some nonprofit organizations have been threatened with the withdrawal of their tax-exempt statuses because their leaders merely voiced opposition to what they consider a moral issue: abortion.

Winning the election is not just about what the underdogs -- such as John McCain and Sarah Palin, two maverick pro-life advocates -- should do. But it's about what the citizens who are fighting for the underdogs can do. We the people must stand up, go back to the basics, and once again vote our values.

I was relieved to read this column. It will never be on the news but let's hope the first round of candidates hammer home with it during their politicing for next year.
I'm sure many in the black community are aware of these stats ... that may bode well for conservatives.

maybe no one really cares

I was just wondering if anyone is concerned when a Republican, a supposedly conservative Republican caves in to liberalism and the current liberal culture of America? Is Bill Frist a turncoat because of his support for embryonic stem cell research? I most definitely say he is. He ain't never getting my vote. Let the Beast become president. At least we already know she's a phony. Is there something in the water on Capitol Hill that shrinks the backbones of Republicans?

Summer of 2005, Media Circus in Washington, Sequences of Events 1) Bush nominates Conservative for Supreme Court position 2) Democrats call 'Extraordinary Circumstances 3) Democrats open a Filibuster 4) Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist moves to strip Dems of the filibustering on Presidential appointments 5) Senate Minority Leader Reid and Senate Democrats institute delaying procedures and tactics and agree to block all pending legislation thus shutting down the Senate (All Hell breaks loose!). Senate Democrats pay for it at the ballot box in 2006 elections!

Wanna know what I have noticed???

News media and news coverage have not been covering the War in Iraq as much as they were during the elections. All I have been seeing is coverage on Michael Jackson, and the Mud Slides in Laguna Beach....

Could it be because the war is actually going good???? Could it be that news reporters don't want to report about how good it is going??? Have you noticed????

Hi all... Random question, but does anyone know where I could find the statement that Ronald Reagan put out in regards to John Lennon's death? I wrote to the Reagan library, but all of the records between the election and the inaugeration are sealed.
