12:11 pm: Introduction
It is a strange experience...to belong to a community called Sindhi Vaishnav.
A....one is linked to a land of his fore fathers which he has never seen and will never be allowed to visit.
B...one has a mother tongue which is no longer a commercial language so no one wants to use it..
C....and belong to a religion which every one wants you to leave..only because society feels it inconvenient..because its principles do not have mas appeal today
and yet the heart and mind (maybe the soul also) desire to hold on..to still belong..and the search for ones Identity continues..
Is this page about History? or Social Migration? or nations disintegrating? or religon in todays multi cultural society?? or is it about an Individuals journey to find and belong to his "ROOTS"...
This community seems to be just a bunch of random Indian talk(no-offense). But have you talked about the book at all? I haven't seen much of the community so I am probably wrong, in that case excuse me. Has anyone listened to some of Tanuja's music? It is awsome. It is just like Karsh's music(almost), minus the turntables. Well, I really liked the book. I have read it twice already. And I love India. It is my dream to go there one day!
