When you're surfing the web & face a tsunami, make home under a bridge along the information highway
I hereby propose the term "The Under-net" (or "The Undernet") to refer to our preparation for and relationship with whatever (if anything) will be left for us in a future Internet dominated by unending, disingenuous, grifting slop.
This is an analysis of what's wrong with the Internet and some things we can do to improve it, as a form of resistance against corporate takeovers and enshittification.

Date: Thursday, 12 March 2026 04:37 (UTC)TFC has been forming since around mid 2019 when the announcement of a certain other website was to be closed. This was before all the NFT craze and before the society and the world got as weird as it is now. It was after Big Tech and social media became evil and after everyone had a smart phone.
So, in a way, we've always been building towards doing things like "the old web" because that's what's familiar to our Core Leadership and it's what follows free, open web standards, accessability, and just plain common sense and common decency towards Community Members (users).
The future is open source and libre. Transparent and fair.
The future is federated and decentralized.
Platforms need to be supported by their userbase and need to collaberate with similar organizations to hold each other up and grow.
