I am wanting to take IT classes. Can any one please tell me where would be the best place to do that, and what sites I can go to, to help me get started learning as much as I can before I start the classes? Thanl you.
On a Win 7 system, I'm already using Chrome and Firefox, but I need a third browser. Don't ask, just accept that it streamlines my work flow - I just had this argument with my son, who assumes everyone should organize their work the way he does.
So - Iron has been a dismal failure, and I have an ingrained dislike of MS Explorer. Anyone using anything else that they love? Thanks for all suggestions.

Does anyone know what email provider is considered to be the most reliable overall? I’ve been having problems with Gmail recently -- I’ve not received several messages that people have said they’ve sent me. Some of them have been important. I have a Yahoo account as well, but I’m hesitant to use it as my default address for professional matters because to me it sounds a little bit juvenile/nonprofessional (although perhaps that’s just me). My job doesn’t provide email and all that my alma mater offers for email is a mask address that forwards stuff on to whatever my default address is.
In summary: does anyone know of a very, very reliable email provider that is appropriate for professional use, available to the general public, and is not Gmail?
Also, a secondary question: I don't tend to delete mail from my Gmail account, ever, because I like to have the security of knowing that if I ever need a piece of information someone's emailed me, I can find it with the search feature, no risk of its having been deleted. With the huge amount of storage Gmail offers it's never been a problem, but now I'm wondering -- could that be part of the reason why I'm losing emails? It seems like it shouldn't be, but I really don't know.
My family chipped in to buy my aunt a laptop for Christmas. It's her very first computer, and I'm going to teach her how to use it.
I figured I'd ask since I'll probably forget a few...
I want to make a list of essential/useful websites. What would be your internet "starter kit" for a total beginner, to get her acquainted with being online? I want to keep it simple, but cover most of the bases.
Thanks!

So i've been playing Final Fantasy 11 for the past couple of weeks now. I've never actually been able to really enjoy it because of college etc etc. So now that it's summer break i've been playing it somewhat non-stop, until, i started having problems with my internet. The first time it disconnected, i thought it'd be wise to reset my router which did the trick somewhat. I could get back on the internet but only for short periods of time before getting kicked off. Sometimes it will even say not connected yet i can still get online, until it d/c again. I've checked forums changed my router channels, switched it to "keep connection alive". And i've seemed to exhaust every option there was. Hence i am here. Two days ago i was having internet withdraws. Technically i HAVE interenet. I'm using it now. But i only have it for ten minutes at a time, because of the constant d/c. Needless to say there is no way in hell i can play FF11 with my wireless constantly d/c, which to me is pretty damn ironic. So im posting here for any solutions to my problem. I've been working on my internet connection problem since Monday night, when i d/c from FF11 and was greeted with a message "limited or no connectivity". I've done the aforementioned things, and now i'm not connected, yet connected, but only for ten minutes at a time. Any suggestions?
Btw, i had to type this post as fast as possible before my internet could d/c again. I use a linksys router and a westell.
