So, even though I kind of hate the platform, I'm trying to actually use my tumblr now. I'm using it as a kind of random reccing thing, which I haven't really seen people do, but I think it works. I got really into making my own dashboard theme, which was fun. It seems odd to me that tumblr has this giant theme garden for blogs, but absolutely nothing for your dash which is mostly what people are seeing anyway. I'm also looking into making a theme for my tumblr page thing, but I don't have much experience with building a layout from the ground up with html and it's very daunting. I'm very comfortably with CSS and I know I can style it all nicely, but it's just the aspect of creating the page first that's scary.

So yeah, I'm HERE! Add me! :D?

And, I just redid my lj layout too. I have finally conquered @font-face! I was having this problem where firefox wasn't displaying my custom font, but all the other browsers were, which is so weird because usually it's the other way around. But yeah, yay for Google, it works now. :D

And ooh, a couple of weeks ago I made a Google Reader theme too, which I am so insanely proud of and happy about. I love RSS and I find it so much easier to follow and read some sites through GReader, but I've always hated the look of it. And now I have a pretty green and grey theme, with awesome icons. :D

murklins made a great post in deliciouslymad concerning the Delicious takeover and inactive accounts. She's asking for a list of any known fannish accounts that haven't updated in a long time and thus won't have opted-in to have their account transferred. Accounts that haven't opted-in will be deleted in July. There is a way to back-up all the PUBLIC bookmarks and save them.

You can easily check if an account has opted in by looking at this post. All you have to do is copy and paste a url.

Glee is basically about a bunch of underdogs coming together and trying to succeed. It’s a comedy, a drama, a musical. It’s cliché and ridiculous and faily and awesome, all at once. It definitely has its bad and rage-y moments, but it’s also touching and funny and worth it.

Glee has a really huge cast, okay, and they tend to favour only a few, unfortunately. Just so you know, my bias shows through a lot, I can’t help it! Also, I’m trying not to spoil anything, so I’ve left out a lot of character connections.

My two favourite people on Glee: Lea Michele who plays Rachel and Chris Colfer who plays Kurt.

And I used to get really annoyed at people who posted big pictures outside of cuts, but now I'm a big hypocrite, because I just really want this to be seen. :D

I am such a ridiculous lurker. I’d apparently rather just read what everyone else has to say about stuff that talk about it myself. I think it’s because I never want to say something stupid and embarrass myself, because there’s always going to be a record of it. /o\ I do actually want to talk about stuff, I’m just awkward about it.

So anyway! Fandom-wise, it all about Glee, pretty much. Though, I still read fic in a whole bunch of other fandoms like The Social Network, Inception, Merlin, and Harry Potter. With Glee though, I’m totally invested in the cast and spoilers and pictures and all that.

So much of fandom had moved to tumblr! It kind of makes me sad because it’s so difficult to use for things other than pictures. People have started to post fic there and it’s just so not suited to that. :( Though, I kind of like the like button thing. If LJ had that then it would make it so much easier for the socially awkward like me to at least tell an author I liked their fic. Commenting is hard. /o\ But yeah, I got a tumblr. Though, I hate reading anything on the dash, so it’s kind of pointless for me. I’ve just been using Google Reader and reading the feeds and it’s so much better. I thought that when you chose a tumblr theme you’d get to read your tumblr followers in your theme, but apparently not. Weird. I'm am excited to make a tumblr theme though! So many options! *______*

1) Never Ever - All Saints I've been on a nostalgia kick recently, and this song reminds me of my childhood and the 90s. This is my favourite song of theirs, it's really catchy. From their self-titled first album. From All Saints.

2) ***not addicted*** - The Streets I love The Streets. Most of his songs tell a story, but this album actually continuously tells a whole story throughout. It's awesome and fun. From A Grand Don't Come For Free.

3) No Reply - The Beatles Hilariously stalkerific, seriously. Always makes me laugh, I love it. From Beatles For Sale.

4) (Nice To Meet You) Anyway - Gavin DeGraw I just really like his style and voice. From Chariot.

5) Never Miss A Beat - Kaiser Chiefs I always want to jump around and sing along to the Kaiser Chiefs, they're fun. From Off With Their Heads.

Hi! I'm feeling really good today. I got stuff done, it's been warm but not unbearably hot outside, and it's Sunday, which always puts me in a good mood for some reason. Random stuff I want to talk about:

• The hot weather has put me in a bbq mood, and I'm all excited about food at the moment. I'm making lots of plans, looking at recipes, it's so much fun. Also, I just made some pizza dough for dinner tomorrow. \o/


• Over the past couple of weeks I've been marathoning Project Runway, I seriously love it so much. I've only got season 4 left, because I've watched in a convoluted order. And stupidly spoiled myself because of it. Anyway, I've loved seasons 2 (&Santino;), 7(&Seth Aaron; &Anthony; &;Emilio) and 1 (&Austin; &Kara Saun;) the most, was greatly frustrated by season 6 (&Carol Hannah; &Ra'mon;) and 3 (&Mychael; &Uli; &Laura;), and season 5 (&Korto;) was okay. I'm also loving the current season a whole lot. (&Mondo;) Anyone want to chat? :D?


• On The Road with Austin and Santino is also awesome.


• Not so awesome: Glee. I don't even know why I started watching it, because I heard it was really faily, and it is. But, the songs are really fun and some of the characters are great. Others, not so much. :( But season 2 is so completely awful, I just can't believe it. Rachel started off awful (leaving the club because she didn't get one solo, seriously?) then got so much better, comparatively. But now it's like she's been reset, but worse. And Will Schuester, I don't even know what to say. He's just such an asshole, to Emma, to the kids, to everyone. The best moment of the new season was when Kurt called him out, it was great. The songs have been fun, but I don't know it it's worth it to continue watching. And the religion episode was just such a slap in the face. Because apparently all atheists don't believe in god because they're angry at him. Which doesn't even make sense, because you can't be angry at someone who you don't believe exists. And I've really liked Mercedes up until this point, but I just hated her in this episode. 'Yeah Kurt, it's okay to not believe in god, but everyone has to believe in something, right? So ignore my fake platitudes, believe!!' Just, ugh. And they better not kill off Burt, he's one of the best characters in the show. >:(


• I finally changed by desktop background, after a very long time. Mostly because I just couldn't find anything I loved as much as the one I had. But this new one is gorgeous. It's clean and modern and refreshing and colourful, I love it. Look!

My newest musical obsession is Marina and the Diamonds. She only has one album so far, The Family Jewels. I really like it, and I actually really like all the songs, which is rare for me. My favourites are Hermit The Frog, Oh No!, I Am Not A Robot and Girls.

I'm really into Florence and the Machine right now too. Her Brit Awards performance with Dizzee Rascal is on tv all the time and it totally stockholmed me. Also, my brother made me listen to her other stuff, and I'm very glad he did.
