I am friggin' olive obsessed! I'm amazed at how long it took me to find this community. My favorite kind is the green (mazila - i think it's called) olives they have here in Israel. They are cheap and everywhere. I put them on everything. Black is good too. I stopped liking them for a while, but they're back on my list. They go well on Greek salad . . . There's also the purple olives and the blue ones. I mean those are better than no olives at all, but they're not my favorites. Oh, question: In America, green olives come with pimentos in them. Does anyone know exactly what a pimento is and what a whole one looks like? I've been pondering this for a while . . .
I love olives,green,black and the purple ones I get in my greek salad. I've been an avid olive lover since I can remember. I can eat a whole jar of green olives with the pits(fun spitting them) and then drink some of the juice and save the rest for later. I love vinegary olive juice. I LOVE OLIVES!!!
I've eaten olives with everything like fruit and on top of mashed potatoes, with vegetarian chili and on top of beans,pizza whatever. Olives are great VIVA LA OLIVES!!!

anyways, has anyone ever tried olives stuffed with almonds?? sounds strange, I know, but they're my absolute favourite and are actually very hard to find. I've only ever found them in specialty cheese stores or italian grocery stores...
do not be afraid. the almond olive is your friend! and its crunchy too....
