Unless anyone voices interest in taking over before the end of the week, I'm going to euthanize this community. The IU organization is dead, as far as anyone can tell, and its steering committee scattered to the wind. I would love to see a few brave souls revive it as a support and education network, but I am not the one to do so, as I am no longer a student, nor am I living in Bloomington at the moment. I do have a lot of materials and extracurricular experience, so let me know if you are interested in modding this community or reviving the rl version, and I (and perhaps austenebrous and lemurlady?) will help show you the ropes (so to speak).

I wish all of you the best of luck and I hope that you all of your experiences with the BDSM community as a whole can be as positive as mine have been.

ETA: fayq is your new mod, and she tells me that there is a good possibility of a group revival, so please stay tuned!

Pleasure Communication
This interactive workshop allows participants to examine their
interests in the wide varriations in sexual pleasure and determine how
to communicate their interests to their sexual partners. This is no
simple negotiation workshop, we will address how to talk about our
more intimate needs and our very specific desires. Techniques on
clarification, guidance without offence and determining needs will be
explored.


Kelly McBride is a librarian by training and sexuality educator by
design. She is currently the Presidnet of SESSIONS, Inc producers of
STIMULI/EROTICON. She also chairs the Monroe County Community AIDS
Action Group and has been a proud Judge at Miss Gay IU for many years.
Ms. McBride specializes in sexual orientation, gender and sexual
variations. She is not only an adoption specialist and nationally
recognized trainer but last year she was declared a "Vagina Warrior" by
her local Vagina Monologues production. She is excited to answer as
many of your questions as she can.

Headspace Workshop: "DIY BDSM"
Where: The Maple Room in the Indiana Memorial Union
When: Thursday, March 24th, 8 p.m.

Come to this year's edition of Headspace's popular "making your own gear"
workshop! This time around, Carolyn will be demonstrating how to make a simple set of deerskin leather handcuffs, a "goggles"-style blindfold, and how to do decorative leather braiding to cover the handle of a flogger.
Extra materials will be provided (for a small fee, $5 or less per item) so that guests can make their own copy of any item they're interested in.
There will only be enough materials for a few extra of each item, though, so "first come, first served!" Please feel free to bring along any toy you've made yourself that you're particularly proud of, and show it off to your fellow kinksters while we all share our own tips & tricks for making BDSM toys on the cheap.
