You're in the crowd at a DriveSHAFT gig. Maybe it's the first time you've seen them; maybe it's the tenth. Charlie is singing lyrics he wrote in his front room, but they hit you so hard, it's like you wrote them yourself. And Liam is using his guitar like it's a percussion instrument, as he strums a counter-rhythm to words being sung. And the humming in your chest and the buzzing in your belly is because Charlie is doing some funked-up [stuff] on his bass. And Patrick is just going off and every thump of the bass drum feels like your heart is beating in your throat. Then Sinjin comes in with the most devastatingly haunting guitar riff, and it rolls over everything and ties it all together.

Maybe it’s the first date on the tour; maybe it’s the 100th. But they’re playing like it’s the last night on earth, because it’s the only way they know how.
