Our first steps tour and our frequently asked questions will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy (Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content).

You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki.

Getting help

More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump.

Goodies, tips, and tricks

Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.
You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.
There are several tools to upload files.
Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful.

Made a mistake?

Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it.
Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Здравствуйте. Учту, что шаблонный текст не соответствует указанной причине удаления. Файлы удалены, поскольку не представляют собой ценности для проекта и не размещены (и не могут быть с пользой размещены) ни на одной из его страниц. Добрый день! Попытаюсь ещё раз объясниться. Две фотографии: File:Плита на мемориале в Крыму зенитчицам, защищавшим небо Джанкоя.jpg и File:Мемориал зенитчицам, защищавшим небо Крыма.jpg делались мной при поездке на отдых в Крым, одна удалена, другая оставлена. Не понятно. Фотография мемориала погибшим испытателям на 41 площадке Байконура делается мной каждый год, когда мы прилетаем на траурные мероприятия на космодром, как расценивать авторство? Вы, видимо, не прочитали пояснение, данное на вышеуказанной странице. Если часть текста выделена синим цветом, это означает, что данный текст содержит гиперссылку на информацию, с которой Вам следует ознакомиться. Прочтите сейчас. Ваши фотографии памятников являются производными работами, поэтому принимаются во внимание авторские права создателей этих памятников. Во многих странах этого требования нет, поскольку там действует так называемая свобода панорамы. Однако ни в Казахстане, ни в России изображения памятников такой свободой не обладают. Из этих работ можно оставить те изображения, где творческий вклад создателя оригинального произведения минимален (оно признаётся тривиальным) или если в производной работе место (форма, размер) оригинального произведения очень несущественно (COM:De minimis). Доброе утро! Хотел уточнить, материалы помещённые в 1993 году в РГАНТД (в том числе и фотографии) после смерти отца перешли ко мне как к правоприемнику, даёт ли мне это обстоятельство какие то права на пользование этими материалами. Когда кто то хочет воспользоваться вышеуказанными материалами звонят мне и получают разрешение, но может в Википедии это не имеет значения, хотя связь с работниками архива есть и я могу запросить разрешение использовать фотографии, хранящиеся в архиве. Обратите внимание, что авторские права принадлежат не владельцу одного или нескольких экземпляров фотографии, а лицу, сделавшему снимок, будь он хоть кто угодно - фотограф в ателье, случайный прохожий и т.д. Лучше всего будет получить разрешение от работников архива - в точности следуйте процедуре, описанной в COM:OTRS/ru. Sealle (talk) 09:13, 22 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Добрый день!

Мне гораздо удобней общаться на родном языке. Я наверное не очень внимательно разобрался с правилами размещения фотографий в Википедии. У меня уже не первый раз удаляются помещённые мной фотографии. В данном случае фотографии моего отца Аркадия и его брата Евгения я помещал из книги Чертока Б.Е. "Ракеты и люди". В свою очередь Борис Евсеевич брал эти фотографии из нашего семеёного архива. Борис Евсеевич умер в 2011 году. Так же эти фотографии переданы отцом при жизни в 1993 году в РГАНТД, после его смерти права на все материалы, помещённые в архиве переданы документально мне. Как я должен правильно разместить фотографии отца и его брата в соответствующих статьях? Может быть у Вас получится правильно разместить эти фото. Уважаемый Mixrunya! Не отчаивайтесь, не всё уж так плохо, как Вам кажется. Да, в законах об авторском праве разобраться довольно сложно, они иногда кажутся абсурдными, но ничего сделать нельзя, приходится их соблюдать. Каждое фото имеет своего автора — фотографа, который и обладает исключительными авторскими правами, кроме случаев, когда фотограф, юридически оформив, передал эти права третьему лицу. Поэтому на все фото, которые Вы сделали сами, авторские права принадлежат Вам и Вы свободно можете загружать их сюда, на Викисклад, за исключением фотографий памятников, скульптур, зданий (здесь надо смотреть COM:FoP и зависит от страны, где размещён объект съёмки). Некоторые фото, автором которых Вы не являетесь, возможно разместить в русскоязычном разделе Википедии как несвободные и иллюстрировать статьи на условиях добросовестного использования. В общем, если хотите, я Вам помогу разместить некоторые фотографии, которые не будут нарушать авторские права и правила Википедии. В этом случае, придётся смотреть по каждой фотографии отдельно, предварительно выслав мне или выложив на любой бесплатный фотохосинг. Для связи со мной можно использовать Википочту, Скайп, Фейсбук, просто почту, что Вам будет удобнее (только заранее напишите мне, как Вам проще общаться, я тогда дам Вам свои контакты). Добрый день! Я не уверен, что правильно применил лицензию. Наверное не смог разобраться. Мне казалось, что применённая лицензия снимает все ограничения так как снимок был сделан более 70 лет назад и автор не известен. Добрый день!

В этом году, 4, 5 и 6 октября я был на Байконуре. Ветеранов космоса пригласили на празднование 60-летия полёта первого спутника. Естественно я побывал на месте гибели в 1960 году на 41 пл. военных и гражданских испытателей. Фотоаппарата у меня не было, поэтому сфотографировал на телефон. Хотя указанные фотографии не смогут принять участия в конкурсе из-за низкого разрешения, они всё ещё могут быть пригодны в каких-то случаях для иллюстрирования статей Википедии или путеводителей. Dear Wikimedian,

You are receiving this message because we noticed that you previously voted in the Picture of the Year contest. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favourite images featured on Commons during the last year (2025) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

Wikimedia Commons is pleased to finally announce the winners of this year's Picture of the Year 2025 contest! We had some truly incredible finalists to choose from, but the community has spoken.

Here are your top three winning images:

First place: The aftermath of an Israeli airstrike in Gaza City on October 9, 2023, leaving widespread destruction in the Rimal area.

I also want to highlight what an incredible turnout we had. In the second round, we saw a massive jump in both the number of users voting and the total votes cast. We had exactly 13,979 votes cast by 3,509 users! To put that in perspective, last year we had 7,403 votes from 2,837 users. It is amazing to see that level of growth and community engagement.

Thank you to everyone who voted, helped organize, and generally made the contest such a huge success this year!
