A file that you have uploaded to Wikimedia Commons from Flickr, File:Paramonga.jpg, has been reviewed by an administrator or reviewer and found available on Flickr under a license that prohibits commercial use (), derivative works (), or any use not expressly permitted (). It is hence incompatible with Wikimedia Commons per the licensing policy. Unless the Flickr user changes the license to one that Wikimedia Commons accepts, the file will be speedily deleted. Commons:Flickr files/Appeal for license change has information about sending the Flickr user an appeal asking for the license to be changed. Only Flickr images tagged as (CC BY), (CC BY-SA), (CC0) and (PDM) are allowed on Wikimedia Commons. Once the license on Flickr is changed, you may replace the {{Unfree Flickr file}} tag with {{Flickrreview}} so that an administrator or reviewer can review the image again.

This is an invitation to participate in the Swedish part of the Wiki Loves Monuments competition. You are getting it since you participated in 2013. The message below is in Swedish, should this be an issue you can get more information in English here or drop a message on my talk page.
A file that you have uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, File:Boy with duplo blocks.jpg, was missing information about where it comes from or who created it, which is needed to verify its copyright status. The file probably has been deleted. If you've got all required information, request undeletion providing this information and the link to the concerned file ([[:File:Boy with duplo blocks.jpg]]).
If you created the content yourself, enter {{Own}} as the source. If you did not add a licensing template, you must add one. You may use, for example, {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} or {{Cc-zero}} to release certain rights to your work.
If someone else created the content, or if it is based on someone else's work, the source should be the address to the web page where you found it, the name and ISBN of the book you scanned it from, or similar. You should also name the author, provide verifiable information to show that the content is in the public domain or has been published under a free license by its author, and add an appropriate template identifying the public domain or licensing status, if you have not already done so. Warning: Wikimedia Commons takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
Please add the required information for this and other files you have uploaded before adding more files. If you need assistance, please ask at the help desk. Thank you!
You are receiving this message because you voted in R1 of the 2016 Picture of the Year contest.
Dear Macuser,
Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the second round of the 2016 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the eleventh edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2016) to produce a single Picture of the Year.
Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.
There are two total rounds of voting. In the first round, you voted for as many images as you liked. In Round 1, there were 1475 candidate images. There are 58 finalists in Round 2, comprised of the top 30 overall as well as the top #1 and #2 from each sub-category.
In the final round, you may vote for just one or maximal three image to become the Picture of the Year.

-- Ludvig14 (talk) 18:38, 19 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
0. Macuser (talk) 12:58, 20 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
-- Ludvig14 (talk) 15:08, 20 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Dear Macuser, Igijos sten is not located in Copenhagen in the National Museum of Denmark, it is located in Jægerspris. Your category is therefore not appropriate. Will you please find a suitable category? Yours sincerely, Orphée (talk) 11:25, 22 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
I am quite aware that it is now on top of sudo-roman-restored passage grave, but I belive it is still technically belongs or belonged to National museum, which is enough to be categorized there. In any way, it is not a "Danish" runeinscription, and it should definetely be categorized as Norwegian one, but also the position should be categorized as in Danmark, in a right county, region and municipality. Macuser (talk) 19:37, 22 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for your explanation. I know very well where the stone was found and where it is situated now. When the stone arrived in Denmark, there wasn't any Nationalmuseet, so I still believe that it should not be categorized as in the National Museum of Denmark. Furthermore I have now noticed that you have removed Julianehøj from the category Mindelunden ved Jægerspris Slot. May I ask you why? Yours sincerely, Orphée (talk) 20:58, 22 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
I do not object removing N KJ81 from NM, I object keeping it within Danish runestones. I guess the recent language clean-up made the meaning more grammatically correct, but a bit obscure: SteinsplitterBot moved page Category:Runestones of Denmark to Category:Runestones in Denmark. Macuser (talk) 21:56, 22 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
Julianehøj is marked on the map, I believe any modern map, google street view offers a clear sight of the monument. Mindelunden is not same clear mark on all maps, but the street view [1] and OpenStreetMap point me in totally different place than Julianehøj. So I put Julianehøj 1 level up from Mindelunden, which is consistent with the categorization of other images of Julianehøj that already were there. Macuser (talk) 21:56, 22 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

This is a deletion request for the community to discuss whether the nominated page should be kept or deleted. Please voice your opinion in the linked request above. Thank you very much!
If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.
Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Hi everyone,
Wikimedia Commons is pleased to finally announce the winners of this year's Picture of the Year 2025 contest! We had some truly incredible finalists to choose from, but the community has spoken.
Here are your top three winning images:
First place: The aftermath of an Israeli airstrike in Gaza City on October 9, 2023, leaving widespread destruction in the Rimal area. Attribution: WAFA (Q2915969) / CC-BY-SA 3.0
Second place: Baby cape fur seal (Arctocephalus pusillus) sleeping at Cape cross, Namibia. Attribution: Giles Laurent / CC-BY-SA 4.0
Third place: A gigantic jet photographed from the International Space Station by astronaut Nichole Ayers. Attribution: public domain
You can view the full results and see where all your favorite images placed here: Full 2025 Results
I also want to highlight what an incredible turnout we had. In the second round, we saw a massive jump in both the number of users voting and the total votes cast. We had exactly 13,979 votes cast by 3,509 users! To put that in perspective, last year we had 7,403 votes from 2,837 users. It is amazing to see that level of growth and community engagement.
Thank you to everyone who voted, helped organize, and generally made the contest such a huge success this year!
