DECEMBER 17 OPEN FULL MOON
Hearthstone meets the Friday before or the Friday of the Full Moon in the upstairs chapel at the First Unitarian Church at 14th and Lafayette in Denver. The church doors open at 7, and we like to start at 7:30. (We are NOT big proponents of Pagan Standard Time, but if there is weather related driving trouble or a problem on the freeway, we've been known to wait a bit longer.) This month's ritual is FRIDAY, DECEMBER 17, 2010.
The December 19th ritual will be presented by Sapphire Circle. This time of year, our Wiccan sensibilities are in tune with the thought forms of the days growing ever shorter and the approach of the longest night. This Longest Night is unique in that it is a full moon which will be eclipsed! Imagine the primal power of this event, a night so long and dark that even the full moon is swallowed by it. Imagine too the power to call forth and rekindle the light of both moon and sun!
Since Yule is so close, please bring an ornament that you have made or one you find that seems properly pagan. We will provide a few extra for folks who may not be able to scrounge any up. Part of the ritual we will charge these ornaments and you’ll take one home (Not the one you bring, the exchange of gifts and energies is part of this season as well!)
Children are welcome but be warned we WILL be turning out as much light as possible during a portion of the ritual and so please prepare them for that!
Does anyone have any experience with the Henge of Keltria? I would love to get some feedback from anyone who has had some involvement - regardless of how limited.
Thank you all. Blessings in the new year.

Hearthstone's October Open Full Moon ritual is FRIDAY, OCTOBER 22, 2010. We meet the Friday before or the Friday of the Full Moon in the upstairs chapel at the First Unitarian Church at 14th and Lafayette in Denver. The church doors open at 7, and we like to start at 7:30. (We are NOT big proponents of Pagan Standard Time, but if there is weather related driving trouble or a problem on the freeway, we've been known to wait a bit longer.)
This month WSLA (Women's Spiritual Leadership Alliance) will offer a Samhain-theme ritual. This is the time of the Crone. She comes to us at this time of the year when the veil between the worlds of Life and Death is the thinnest. In this rite, participants will be invited to meet with Hecate in guided meditation. She is the One who stands at the crossroads, awaiting all travelers and seekers. Think about how life is filled with crossroads…with choices…. Ponder what help you might seek from Hecate. As is traditional at Samhain, we will also honor those who have gone before us, the ancestors, and we will remember especially those who have died this year.

MAY 21 OPEN FULL MOON
Hearthstone meets the Friday before or the Friday of the Full Moon in the upstairs chapel at the First Unitarian Church at 14th and Lafayette in Denver. The church doors open at 7, and we like to start at 7:30. (We are NOT big proponents of Pagan Standard Time, but if there is weather related driving trouble or a problem on the freeway, we've been known to wait a bit longer.) This month's ritual is FRIDAY, May 21, 2010.
The May 21st ritual will be presented by Annabel. It will be based on the concept of the Build-a-Bear Workshops. What if everyone came and built the ritual together? People can come with ideas and/or requests that they think will fit the ritual. I'll show up with plenty of ideas for people to pick from and provide the skeleton for the ritual to be hung on.
The idea and the focus are to come together as a greater community and focus on our kinship through the divine.
So, folks, what do you say? Spend a Friday evening at ritual and work on melding old-timers, newcomers, middlings ... all kinds of people that make our Pagan community just that, a community.

(We are NOT big proponents of Pagan Standard Time, but if there is weather related driving trouble or a problem on the freeway, we've been known to wait a bit longer.) This month's ritual is FRIDAY, March 26, 2010.
At the March 26th OFM, the ritual will give participants the experience of exercising their own will, through the use of words, to create the Circle, call the Quarters, invoke the Gods and manifest their will in magical circle using Words of Power. The ritual was created in response to the inspiring article on "The Use of Positive Statements in Ritual" in Hearthstone's January newsletter. Cynthia Lefevre and Arynne welcome you to join them in empowering ourselves and honoring the seed moon of March.

FEBRUARY 26 OPEN FULL MOON
Hearthstone meets the Friday before or the Friday of the Full Moon in the upstairs chapel at the First Unitarian Church at 14th and Lafayette in Denver. (We are NOT big proponents of Pagan Standard Time, but if there is weather related driving trouble or a problem on the freeway, we've been known to wait a bit longer.) This month's ritual is FRIDAY, February 26, 2010.
Remember, please, that Hearthstone doesn’t expect everyone to enter in Perfect Love and Perfect Trust, as there are people you don't know there, but to enter with a willing heart and an open mind, and leave your differences at the door.
Living Earth will officiate at the February 26th OFM.
"Whenever you have need of anything, once a month and better it be when the moon is full..." begins the Charge of the Goddess. Living Earth's full moon ritual will focus on our immediate spiritual needs. Through a collaborative planning process just before ritual (at Gypsy House, 6-7pm, if you'd like to participate in the planning), they will help to find a common thread that connects us in our spiritual need. The result will be a participatory, welcoming, and rejuvenating ceremony that helps us meet those spiritual needs as well as connecting us in community and in spirit.

JANUARY 29 OPEN FULL MOON
Hearthstone meets the Friday before or the Friday of the Full Moon in the upstairs chapel at the First Unitarian Church at 14th and Lafayette in Denver. (We are NOT big proponents of Pagan Standard Time, but if there is weather related driving trouble or a problem on the freeway, we've been known to wait a bit longer.) This month's ritual is FRIDAY, January 29, 2010.
Remember, please, that Hearthstone doesn't expect everyone to enter in Perfect Love and Perfect Trust, as there are people you don't know there, but to enter with a willing heart and an open mind, and leave your differences at the door.
Some traditions are more controversial than others, or may contain a component that disturbs someone attending an Open Full Moon. It is one of the risks of exploring different traditions. Should anyone be uncomfortable, unsettled, or upset about any ritual presented by Hearthstone, please contact Alia or Catherine to discuss -- and hopefully resolve and heal -- the issue.
For the January 29th OFM, please join Brook and members of our Reclaiming community as we explore the dynamic tension of the Feri Divine Twins. In this ritual, we will move through the heart of our own personal paradox. The push and pull of the Twins in each of us will fuel our journey.
This will be an intense ritual which will include a trance meditation, movement, singing, and dancing. All ages are welcome.

I have just relocated to Northern Colorado from the Pacific Northwest and would like to find a group for discussions and celebrations. If anyone knows of a group, ideally in Celtic/Gaelic Reconstructionism - but not necessarily - in the Northern Colorado area I would love the opportunity to meet some new like minded people.
Thank you -

NOVEMBER 27 OPEN FULL MOON
Hearthstone meets the Friday before or the Friday of the Full Moon in the upstairs chapel at the First Unitarian Church at 14th and Lafayette in Denver. The church doors open at 7, and we like to start at 7:30. (We are NOT big proponents of Pagan Standard Time, but if there is weather related driving trouble or a problem on the freeway, we've been known to wait a bit longer.) This month's ritual is FRIDAY, November 27, 2009.
There will be no Open Full Moon in December, as the appropriate date would be December 25th. We will resume our regular schedule in 2010 ce.
After several requests, Hearthstone is organizing a Multiple Drawing Down for our last Open Full Moon of the calendar year. In this popular ritual, Priestesses and Priests offer themselves as vessels for the Divine. While Wicca encourages each person to establish their own connection with the Divine, the experience of coming face to face with Deity in a human body is an amazing experience. Children are welcome to attend with their parents or a coach to help them deal with what can be a very powerful experience.
Please plan to sit quietly for some amount of time while waiting for your turn to visit with whoever you wish. If you like, bring quiet tools for divination to work with while waiting. While we cannot guarantee what Deity you will meet with, we can tell you that the Officiates who have volunteered to serve as vessels are Alia, Judith, Ken/Greyhart, and Gary/Havenwood.
-Catherine and Alia
