Hosted in a gorgeous canyon in Roman Nose State Park in Oklahoma, Oklacon offers a refreshing alternative to hotel-based furry conventions. With plenty of outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, stargazing, and outdoor games, we're quite a change of place to the same-ol', same-ol' experience of most furry cons. If the warm glow of a crackling campfire set under the dark, starry skies sounds like your idea of a great weekend, then we're just what you're looking for. :)

We also have a fully-fledged Dealer's Den and Artist Alley which offer everything from fursuiting studios to comic/book distributors to professional artists. Our Guests of Honor Kyell Gold and Ugly Little Monster have some awesome stuff in store for you. This year's theme pays homage to movie monsters from the '50's and '60's, most of which were anthros, so it's time to find those childhood toy rayguns and join us for a great time rampaging in the great outdoors!

If you've heard about us before but have never taken the plunge, make this year your first! Cabins and lodge rooms are sold out, but we still have motel rooms, tent spaces, and FREE A-Frame sleeping bunks still open for the taking. We attract furs mostly from KS, OK, TX, CO, NM, AR, MO, and LA, but we have those as far away as Germany and Wales attend.

We would ESPECIALLY love to welcome our Colorado neighbor-furs. Our convention is in the northwest part of Oklahoma, within reasonable driving distance. Quite a few furs come down from CO itself, so finding a ride shouldn't be too hard! Feel free to use our rideshare forum or our "Map of Who's Coming" to help identify people to share costs with, and join us! We also have a group discount available, allowing one fur to come absolutely free when three who haven't attended before preregister -- see the website for details. We would love to find other visual or performing artists from your community to add to our panel selection at this year's convention -- if you know anyone who might be interested, please have them drop us a line to registration [at] oklacon |dot| com :)

Hello Lil Furs and FurFriends,

    I'm Sylvirin, mostly known as Syn. Really hope I'm not breaking any rules or disturbing people on here. I wanted to say hello. I am recently eighteen but have been interested in furries since I was twelve. I've tried making my own fursuits, which usually ended up in a failure of fur that is now put with LARP things or blankets.

Hey, my friends told me to post on Colofurs for help. Anyways, I'm a furry in Fort Collins who's having a hard time finding a place to stay. I don't have an issue with paying rent, but its always a living condition with the people I live with. I'm just tired of moving around and not having a secure place to live. I wish some fur would help me out and offer me a place to stay. I need some advice over a social problem. Mostly it is the problem that came up when we came back from Texas. It isn't really a problem I want to talk on the board, and so I would request that you IM me or message me on this. It is more that I would like some discretion if you please.

I was walking down an aile at my work (Wal-mart) and one of my co-workers, she out of the blue just said, "Hey, i think with the way you walk you should have some kind of cat tail," she was laughing about it. She says I'm like a cat, that I am able to move around quickly like a cat, lol....I'm surprised with that....does anyone else have that happen to you?

This community is not run by the same people that run RMFC.

I cannot do anything about con issues and this community is NOT place to air your grievance with con goers and staff members of the con.

That would be best taken up with con staff.
