I would prefer that you would not post quotes from movies, songs, or random famous people, but feel free to post quotes from books that were later turned into movies.
I would also prefer that you would not quote yourself, or promote other communities.
Please use your own judgement on whether to use a LJ cut. It is the respectable thing to do for other member's friends pages.
And lastly, always cite the author or poet of the quote, and also try to refer where the quote was taken from.
