So... I've been writing a novella. For a novella class I'm taking. It's due Monday, and there's so much more I want to have done, but I don't think I'll be getting a lot farther than this. Just no time. But here's the draft of what I have, for those interested (mostly for Mike <3). Divided into chapters because of LJ's post size limitations.

While I'm here, I'll go ahead and put up the second story I submitted for my fiction class this semester. The first I'd already written--I've thrown it around a little, that story about the boy who gets turned into a tree--but this one is actually new. Not that I haven't forced it on some people as well.

I haven't done any editing since submitting it, though I'm sure it needs some. I think I want to go back and draw things out. I waited too late to start this piece and had to rush through parts of it, particularly toward the end. Oh, well.

Look! I wrote some poems--four of them!--and I am posting them here. This hasn't happened in a while. You should be excited.

These were mostly written for my poetry class this semester, but I'm pretty sure I don't hate them. Two of them are a little prosey, maybe more flash fiction, but the other two are pretty poem-esque.

I think maybe I should start keeping up with this again. I've written a lot of short snatches of things recently. I'm not sure they warrant public attention (the huge part of the public that happens to be aware of my LJ, that is), but maybe they need to be somewhere besides my folder.

Also, I missed my layout. I'm still proud of this header.

So, with Code Geass having ended and all, I've had a chance to come down from my obsession a bit. Now, I know I haven't exactly used my LJ a whole lot here lately, but I think it's time for a new theme. Any suggestions?

I'm considering:
seasonal
writing themed (quills, paper, that sort of thing)
The Raconteurs (Consolers of the Lonely)

I'm not feeling too creative with this right now.

And so I have started a food blog. Okay, maybe it's kind of silly, but I just felt like it! It's for anything food-related: what I'm eating, what I'm cooking, things I want to try, recipes--whatever. Anything goes, so if that's your kind of thing, you can find it at kifood.

I changed my header again. Decided to go with Code Geass this time around, because I love that show so damn much. I don't have enough Code Geass icons yet that I just love, so the icon switch will have to wait.

This actually felt kind of rushed. I was going one direction with it, and then scrapped what I had almost entirely and started over. I like this much better.
